Chapter 4 - The Chosen Disciple

(Year 47 of Konoha)

The battle at Kannabi Bridge ended.

The Yellow Flash, Namikaze Minato, turned the tide of the war single-handedly. Together with Kakashi and Rin, he destroyed the bridge and severed the enemy's supply lines.

With that—

The Third Great Ninja War finally came to an end.

After the war, the Third Hokage voluntarily stepped down. With overwhelming merit and unquestionable strength, Namikaze Minato was unanimously approved by the Fire Daimyō and officially appointed as the Fourth Hokage of Konohagakure.

On that very same day, another announcement shook the village.

The Third Hokage, Sarutobi Hiruzen, declared that he would accept Uchiha Akihiro as his direct disciple.

The reason given was simple:

To ease tensions between the village and the Uchiha clan.

The effect—

Explosive.

The news spread through Konoha like wildfire.

"Did you hear? The Third Hokage accepted an Uchiha kid as his disciple!"

"Yeah! I heard he was born with a tail—do you think it's related?"

"That's obvious! The Hokage summons monkey demons! Maybe the kid has some connection!"

"I'm so jealous… why wasn't I born with a tail?!"

The civilians didn't understand politics.

To them, a Hokage's direct disciple wasn't just an honor—it was a future Hokage candidate.

After all, when the Fourth Hokage grew old, that would be the Uchiha boy's prime.

Within the Uchiha clan, the reaction was even stronger.

For decades, the relationship between the village and the clan had steadily deteriorated. Since the Second Hokage's era, most capable Uchiha had been sidelined and pushed into the Military Police Force.

Now—

This was a signal.

A public one.

That day, Akihiro's home was packed.

Gifts. Congratulations. Forced smiles.

"Yasushi, you've raised an amazing son!"

"Is your boy engaged yet? My cousin's neighbor's daughter—"

"He's five."

"Oh! Then he can wait!"

Yasushi Uchiha smiled politely, though his temples twitched nonstop.

Why do these people feel more annoying today than usual…?

Then he noticed someone standing at the door.

Uchiha Fugaku.

The clan head.

Yasushi immediately stepped forward. "Patriarch Fugaku, please come in!"

Fugaku nodded calmly. "Congratulations. Your son carries great expectations. Make sure he does not disappoint the clan."

"I swear he won't," Yasushi replied solemnly.

At the same time—

Far from the noise, Alex continued training in the forest.

Punches struck wood. Branches trembled.

He knew better than anyone that this was a political maneuver.Like wtf I am minding my own business and the hokage out of nowhere want me to his disciple ,dude give me a break aiss.

The village didn't want to lose the Uchiha.

But the real danger wasn't the Hokage.

It was Danzō.

That man loved operating in darkness. If something went wrong, he wouldn't hesitate to erase an entire clan.

Alex wanted to believe this appointment could change the future.

But he wouldn't gamble everything on hope.

Lose the bet—and everyone dies.

"You're still training?"

A calm voice came from behind.

Alex turned.

An old man in a red-and-white Hokage hat stood there, pipe in hand. Smoke curled upward lazily.

"Today's a big day for you. Why not go home and greet the guests?"

"Hokage-sama," Alex replied, "I'm used to training. Skip one day and my body feels wrong. And I don't like crowds."

"You should call me sensei now."

"…Sensei."

Akhiro Ming voice irkkk cringe dude

The Third Hokage smiled. "How did you know I was here?"

"Ahem. I was just… taking a walk."

Alex stared at him.Like I believed that

This old man is still a peeper at his age… unbelievable.

"Akihiro," the Third Hokage said quietly, his face hidden beneath the hat, "do you like this village?"

Alex understood immediately what he was really testing him.

After a brief pause, he answered, "I do."

"What do you like about it?"

"It's peaceful. Quiet. No war."

The Third Hokage inhaled deeply. "Then… would you give everything to protect it?"

"Yes," Alex replied without hesitation.

"This is my home too. I will protect everything here."

The old man nodded.

"Don't go to school tomorrow. Come to my office."

With that, he left.

Alex said nothing and returned to training.

Shh—!

Three shuriken suddenly tore through the air, aimed straight at his back.

Alex's eyes shifted slightly.

He leapt, landing on a tree branch effortlessly.

Looking toward the shadows, he said calmly, "Itachi. I don't remember offending you."

A black-haired boy stepped into the light.

"I want to fight you," Itachi said. "As a ninja."

"A sneak attack?" Alex scratched his head.

"You were one miss away from assassinating the Hokage's disciple. That's rebellion, you know."

"I believed you would dodge," Itachi replied. "Otherwise, you wouldn't be worth fighting."

Alex's eyes narrowed.

His Saiyan blood stirred.

"Fine," he said, a grin forming.

"Let's start."

He kicked off the branch—

And charged straight at Itachi.
