Synopsis
Lin Yue loved him once. Hao Jian loved her too… but fate and duty tore them apart. When a prophecy foretold that her heartbreak could destroy her world, Lin Yue’s parents had no choice: they sealed her away in a spiritual prison, calculating that only after years apart could her heart be safe. But she awoke early—her memories of Hao Jian lost, her heart guarded, and her powers still alive. Five years later, Hao Jian is no longer the reckless playboy she once knew. Forced into the ruthless world of business and politics, he buried his emotions, becoming cold, untouchable, and feared. When their paths cross again, Lin Yue feels a strange pull—anger, sorrow, longing—but cannot remember why. And Hao Jian knows everything… and fears she may never forgive him. From tentative first meetings to slow-burning love, from betrayal to rediscovery, their journey is one of destiny, power, and second chances. Will love survive the scars of the past… or will fate demand another sacrifice?

Chapter 1 – The Awakening

The world twisted and shimmered around Lin Yue, a storm of light and shadow, chaos and silence. Each step she took on the mountainside felt impossibly heavy, her limbs trembling under the weight of a power she could neither control nor fully comprehend. She had awakened, yet the world before her was foreign, indifferent, and utterly unforgiving.

The jade pendant at her chest pulsed faintly, a soft heartbeat in the midst of the turmoil. She reached out instinctively, trying to grasp balance, but the chaotic force surging through her was too strong. Her legs gave way. One step, two… and then she was falling, rolling down the incline, her body battered by rocks, dirt, and sharp leaves.

Finally, she came to rest, hidden among low bushes and scattered stones at the base of the mountain. Her body was bruised and limp. Her breathing was shallow, uneven. Darkness swallowed her senses, and she drifted into a deep, unbroken unconsciousness.

Days passed. The world moved on above her, the wind whispering through the trees, the sun rising and setting, unnoticed by the girl who lay motionless. Two days… three… perhaps even five. Time became meaningless in the wilderness. Yet through it all, her jade pendant glimmered softly, pulsing faintly against her chest. It held her fragile life in delicate balance, shielding her from the cold, the rough terrain, and the hunger of the wild.

On the fifth evening, the retired couple strolled along the edge of their property, as they often did when the air was calm and the valley bathed in twilight. Their modest house, tucked into the gentle slope of the mountains, was surrounded by bushes and small trees, a peaceful sanctuary far removed from the city.

Then the woman paused. Something unusual caught her eye — a faint shape among the leaves and stones, strangely still.

"Over there," she whispered, drawing her husband's gaze.

He stepped closer, eyes narrowing. "Is it… a person?" He scanned the slope carefully. "It could be dangerous… what if she's hurt, or worse?"

The woman hesitated. "I don't know… but she might need help. Look at her… she's not moving."

They exchanged a measured glance. Both were intelligent, cautious, and experienced enough to assess danger before acting. The mountain slope was treacherous, wild animals roamed the area, and the girl had been lying there for days. Moving too quickly could worsen her injuries.

After a silent moment of calculation, they made their decision. Slowly, deliberately, they approached the unconscious girl. Her hair was matted, her clothes torn, and her skin pale against the dimming light. The jade pendant glimmered faintly, a soft, protective pulse emanating from her chest.

"She's alive," the woman murmured.

"Yes, but we must be careful," the man replied, crouching beside her. "She's been here some time… fragile and weak. One wrong move, and…" His voice trailed off, the gravity of the situation pressing down on them.

With meticulous care, they lifted her together, supporting her broken, delicate frame. Every step toward the house was cautious, each movement deliberate. The mountain breeze carried the scent of pine and earth, whispering through the leaves as if the world itself watched this fragile scene.

Inside their home, they laid Lin Yue on a soft couch, wrapping blankets around her trembling form. Her jade pendant pulsed faintly in the dim evening light, casting a soft glow across the room. The couple remained silent, keeping vigil, hearts caught between awe and worry. She had survived a fall from the mountain, days alone in the wilderness, yet she remained untouched by the harsher cruelty of the world.

Hours passed. The night deepened. Lin Yue remained unconscious, but with every slow, shallow breath, the pendant's faint light promised that her fragile life endured. The retired couple sat quietly, their eyes fixed on her, aware of the delicate miracle before them.

Outside, the village slept under a blanket of stars. Inside, a story began to weave itself around the girl who had fallen from time, her destiny silently stirring, waiting to unfold. Every heartbeat, every faint pulse of the jade pendant, hinted at the immense journey that had only just begun.
