The Girl Who Glowed
The villagers called her cursed.
Lunara stood by the window, watching the full moon rise over the hills. Her hands trembled.
"Not again…"
The moment the moonlight touched her skin, silver light burst from her body like liquid starlight.
And then—
The screaming began.
Shadow beasts crawled from the forest, drawn to her glow.
Doors shattered. Claws scraped against stone.
Lunara squeezed her eyes shut.
"I didn't mean for this…"
A sudden roar split the sky.
Black flames descended like falling stars.
When she opened her eyes, the beasts were burning.
A tall figure stepped through the smoke.
Dressed in black, eyes like molten silver.
Cold. Untouchable.
He raised his blade, and the last monster disintegrated.
Then his gaze fell on her.
"So," he said quietly, "you are the Moonbound."
Lunara swallowed. "I don't want to hurt anyone."
"You already are."
He walked closer. Too close.
"But you won't anymore."
She looked up at him, confused.
"What do you mean?"
He extended his gloved hand.
"You will marry me."
The world seemed to stop.
"My name is Kael Blackthorne," he said. "And from this night on… your curse belongs to me."
As he touched her wrist, a glowing silver mark appeared on both of them.
Moonbound Contract Activated.
And somewhere in the darkness—
Something ancient awakened.
