The moon was quite round tonight, bright and full as it hung in the sky.
She watched it for a long while, the corners of her lips turning up in a smile.
Jiang Yixia was up bright and early on Sunday morning.
She packed her things and called Jiang Ming to check on Jiang Guoqiang's condition.
"Sis, Dad's in great spirits today. He was clamoring to be discharged first thing this morning," Jiang Ming said with a laugh on the other end of the line.
"Okay, you handle the discharge papers. I'm heading straight to the flower shop. Let Mom know, will you?"
"Got it. Be careful on your way."
Just as she arrived at the flower shop, Jiang Yixia's phone rang.
It was Lu Fan.
"You there?" he asked with a chuckle.
"I'm here, at the shop," Jiang Yixia replied, sweeping trimmed leaves and branches into a dustpan.
"Have you eaten?"
"Not yet. I'll eat in a bit."
"I ordered some takeout for you. It'll be there soon."
Jiang Yixia was taken aback for a moment. "Why did you... again?"
