Chapter 31 - Chapter 31: 31. When Qian Renxue Learned Everything

It was still that dream.

At night, Qian Renxue and Bibi Dong once again shared a dream. Xiaogang still appeared, trying to break the emotional bond between Bibi Dong and Qian Renxue. However, what he never expected was that with each attempt to break it, the mother-daughter bond only deepened.

Later, Rakshasa God gave up. He no longer transformed into Xiaogang; instead, he observed everything from the sidelines, searching for an opportune moment to disrupt the relationship between Bibi Dong and Qian Renxue.

In reality, two people who once disliked each other now intimately snuggled together. Bibi Dong held the young Qian Renxue in her arms with a sense of relief, enjoying the brief warmth and affection of the dream.

At this moment, Qian Renxue, with her golden hair nestled against her mother's chest, inhaled her mother's scent and asked, "Mother, can you tell Xue'er what exactly happened between you and Father?"

Bibi Dong looked at Qian Renxue, her doting gaze now filled with conflict. She wasn't sure whether to tell this young Qian Renxue in her dream, but Qian Renxue's next words dispelled her hesitation.

"Mother, this is your dream. Are you going to hide your secrets from Xue'er even in a dream?" Qian Renxue asked.

Upon hearing this, Bibi Dong suddenly understood, and all her hesitation vanished instantly.

Yes, this is my dream, and Xue'er is just Xue'er in the dream. Even if I tell her, she might not truly know.

Thinking of this, Bibi Dong suddenly wanted to see what reaction her daughter, whom she had carried for ten months, would have after hearing about her past experiences.

"Are you sure you want to know these things, Xue'er?" Bibi Dong asked, gazing at Qian Renxue.

"Mother, please tell me. Xue'er won't tell anyone," Qian Renxue said playfully.

Bibi Dong sighed and said,

"Once upon a time, there was a Holy Maiden."

Bibi Dong began to recount her past experiences, word by word.

She was taken as a disciple by the Pope, becoming the Holy Maiden of Spirit Hall. Later, she met an excellent young man. That young man wasn't powerful, but his wisdom deeply attracted the Holy Maiden.

Later, the Holy Maiden and this young man fell in love. They secretly pledged their lives to each other and decided to elope. However, on the day of their elopement, the Holy Maiden, worried that her Master would be concerned, informed her Master of her plans. Who knew that her Master's temperament would suddenly change drastically?

He locked her in a secret room.

The more Qian Renxue listened, the more shocked she became.

After hearing everything, she immediately understood why her mother disliked her so much. So, this was her origin.

Her mother's ordeal shattered Qian Renxue's worldview. Her father's heroic image from her childhood crumbled in that moment. She didn't know how to face her father.

Having poured out her past experiences in one breath, Bibi Dong felt as if a huge weight had been lifted from her heart.

Finally, she asked, "Xue'er, this is why I disliked you so much before. But later, I realized that all of it was Qian Xunji's fault. It had nothing to do with you; I shouldn't have blamed you."

"It's, it's okay, Mother," Qian Renxue said.

"Xue'er, if it were you, would you stand with Mother or with Qian Xunji?" Bibi Dong asked, looking at Qian Renxue with anticipation.

Qian Renxue looked at her mother's expectant eyes, unsure how to answer: "I, I don't know."

Bibi Dong looked at the confused Qian Renxue and sighed. She knew it wasn't the time to force an answer from her.

The next day, Qian Renxue woke up, her azure eyes filled with complex emotions.

Before, she had hoped the dream was real, because the mother in the dream was so close to her. But now, she didn't wish the dream to be real.

Because if the dream were real, then her father had locked her mother in a secret room.

Qian Renxue rubbed her temples. Suddenly, an idea sparked, and a name flashed through her mind.

There was a third party involved in her father's and mother's relationship. Who was that young man?

Qian Renxue decided to investigate this. Although her mother in the dream hadn't revealed the man's name, if such a person truly existed and she investigated based on his experiences, there would surely be records in Spirit Hall.

Meanwhile, Qian Xunji had no idea that his, or rather, his predecessor's dark past, had just been exposed to Qian Renxue.

After he returned, he sought out Qian Daoliu and got straight to the point:

"Old man, I'm taking a concubine," Qian Xunji said directly.

"Taking a concubine? What did you say? Whose daughter?" Qian Daoliu's mouth twitched slightly as he spoke.

"The daughter of Yu Luomian, the Second Elder of the Blue Lightning Tyrant Dragon Clan, one of the Upper Three Sects," Qian Xunji said.

"Yu Luomian? Why haven't I heard he has a daughter?" Qian Daoliu asked.

"She's his illegitimate daughter," Qian Xunji said.

"Illegitimate daughter?" Qian Daoliu's beard bristled with anger. He exclaimed, "You brat! You, the dignified Pope of Spirit Hall, can have any woman you want, but you choose an illegitimate daughter? If this gets out, what will people think of our Spirit Hall?"

"They can think whatever they want," Qian Xunji straightened his clothes and said, "Do I, Qian Xunji, look like someone who lives by other people's opinions?"

Qian Daoliu's mouth twitched slightly. How did he ever give birth to such a scoundrel? However, thinking of Xue'er, Qian Daoliu felt a slight comfort in his heart. This son of his was a lost cause, but fortunately, there were other options. He, Qian Daoliu, had spent his entire life waiting for the successor of the angel god. Now that the successor had arrived, he was too lazy to care what Qian Xunji did. Let him do as he pleased. After all, when Xue'er eventually ascends to become the angel god, everything would be fine.

Qian Daoliu waved his hand and said helplessly, "Do whatever you want. Anyway, my reputation is completely ruined because of you."

Qian Xunji merely informed Qian Daoliu of his intention to take a concubine, then went to the Supreme Pontiff Palace to prepare for his upcoming marriage to Liu Erlong.

Qian Xunji didn't hide this matter; instead, he used Spirit Hall's influence to spread the news.

As a result, the entire continent now knew about two events.

One was that Yu Luomian's long-lost daughter, Yu Erlong, had been recognized by her ancestors and returned to the Blue Lightning Tyrant Dragon Clan. Of course, anyone with eyes knew that "long-lost" was just a euphemism for "illegitimate daughter."

The other was that Qian Xunji, the Pope of Spirit Hall, was going to take Yu Erlong as his concubine.
