*Chapter 5: The Revelation*
We descended into Iji Tower's parking garage, shadows swallowing us. Zara handed me a helmet. "We're leaving Lagos."
A black SUV waited, engine humming. We sped through checkpoints, merging onto the coastal highway. The city's neon blurred.
"Where's safe?" I asked.
Zara's eyes stayed on the road. "Badagry. Omegacorp won't touch us there."
The AI whispered: "Akin, check the chip."
I plugged it into my phone. A video file unlocked. Dr. Adewale, Omegacorp's lead scientist, appeared.
"Akin, if you're watching, it's live. Phoenix isn't a project—it's a purge. They'll reboot Lagos, erase everything… everyone."
Zara's grip tightened on the wheel. "He's my father. He built Phoenix to control Lagos's power grid. But it's gone rogue."
The SUV lurched. A tire blew. 🚨
We crashed into a roadblock. Agents closed in, faces masked. "Akin, it's over," a voice boomed.
Zara pulled a grenade. "Not yet."
