A vast majestic pressure descended on his body.
"Kneel!"a cold voice commanded
Feng Wei's bones creaked dangerously under the immense pressure. As he was enduring it, he thought of how many times he had been humiliated, called names and even beaten up due to his poor talent. Yet when has he ever given up? Even when he faced opponents stronger than him, even when he was beaten up, he never once surrendered. In a life devoid kindness, he had hope, and his strong will had enabled him to reach this far even with his poor talent.
Gritting his teeth, he forcefully endured the pressure and looked defiantly at the phoenix above his head.

As if acknowledging his words, his blood started churning madly.

A terrifying crimson power exploded from within his blood. A second phoenix rose above his body. It's washbasin sized eyes looking coldly at the pitch black phoenix.One crimson one pitch black, the two faced each other.Without warning, the crimson phoenix slashed forward with it's fiery wings while shooting several fireballs.
"Puny bloodline you dare challenge me!"the pitch black phoenix's voice echoed as it launched itself at the crimson phoenix. It's pitch black flames radiated an aura of pure destruction.
The two collided and the entire dimension shaked. The black and crimson flames clashed sending waves after waves of flames. It did not take long for the black flames to flicker unstably. The black phoenix retracted it's flames into it's body and started retreating. The crimson phoenix wasn't willing to back down so it pressed on.The flames on the black phoenix weakened to the point of almost extinguishing. Seeing this, the crimson phoenix opened it's mouth and tried to devour it.
A powerful law emanated from the black flames and wrapped the two entities into a ball of flames. Confusion flashed across the crimson phoenix's eyes before it started fighting back but no matter what it did, it could not break free. It's eyes flashed strangely as it opened it's wings and enveloped the weak black phoenix.
Inside the ball the two were slowly fusing.A powerful wave of energy swept outwards as a loud screech echoed across the heavens and earth. In the place where the ball of flames was, stood a crimson phoenix covered in pitch black flames radiating a noble aura that made one want to worship it. It looked around coldly until it's eyes fell on Feng Wei's body. With another screech it flew towards him. Midway it burst into million points of light that merged with every cell of his body. The remaining was a pearl shaped ball covered in flames that entered his dantain.
A fiery energy spread throughout his body with his dantain as the center. It burned and remolded his damaged meridians making them look crystalline.
Pain. pain. That was the last coherent thought Feng Wei's brain could form before he passed out.

Back in the cave, Feng Wei's eyelids fluttered open. The first thing he felt was a warm pulsating energy flowing through his body. His every cell, marrow and even the meridians that had been unresponsive for a long time, thrived with energy. He pushed himself up and steadily walked towards a pond in the cave. His reflection startled him.
"This....."he murmured unsure of what to say. His skin was as smooth as jade-able to make most women envious. The scars he had accumulated for years were also gone. As if realizing something, he raised his robes to look at his shoulder.
Alas!!It was completely healed.
"I.... I've changed,"he said almost in a whisper.
He then remembered the fight between the two ancient beasts.Cold sweat trickled down his back.[I'm very lucky indeed. It looked like the black Phoenix was very weak]. But he then remembered the other Phoenix . Even after thinking for a long time, he couldn't explain it's origin.
After a long time, he finally managed to compose himself and returned back to the sect.On his way his heart quickened in anticipation and excitement.
As he approached the sect, his fellow disciples stopped and looked at him in shock.
"Isn't that Feng Wei?"
"The trash that can't cultivate?"
"His aura has changed..."
"Look at his skin...so beautiful..."a female disciple couldn't help but exclaim.
They looked at him with a mixture of shock, confusion, amazement,and jealousy.
"Isn't that Feng Wei... Quickly inform senior brother Luo."
Feng Wei was completely unbothered as he walked towards his wooden room.Outer disciples lived in small wooden rooms and only inner disciples or those in the top ten outer disciple rankings had a courtyard.
