Chapter 5 - chapter 5 Sonic background and backstory tell Straw Hat

Screen 1

Sonic looked at the crew and said calmly, "Since we're traveling together now, I should tell you my story."

The crew listened as Sonic continued. "I was born in another world filled with intelligent animal people. Even when I was a child, I had incredible super speed. An owl guardian named Longclaw protected me."

He paused for a moment before continuing. "Some enemies wanted to capture me because my speed was extremely powerful. When they attacked, Longclaw opened a portal using magical rings and sent me away to keep me safe. The world I arrived in was this one."

Sonic then added, "I've been living in East Blue for ten years, watching pirates and sailors."

Finally he said, "And… I'm thirteen years old."

The crew stood silently for a moment after hearing the story, trying to process everything.

Luffy grinned widely. "Another world? That's awesome!"

Zoro crossed his arms, looking thoughtful but calm.

Nami stared at Sonic in surprise. "You've been alone in this sea for ten years?"

Usopp's eyes widened. "Wait… you're only thirteen?"

Screen 2

Sonic continued calmly, "For ten years I stayed in East Blue. I listened to pirates, Marines, and sailors talking about what happens in the sea. That's how I learned about this world."

Luffy leaned forward with excitement. "So you know a lot about pirates?"

Zoro nodded slightly. "That explains why you recognized people like Captain Kuro."

Nami looked thoughtful. "Ten years of listening to sailors and pirates… that's a lot of information."

Usopp stared at Sonic with wide eyes. "Wait… you learned all that just by watching and listening?"

Screen 3

Sonic held up a shining golden ring in his hand. The crew watched curiously as he tossed it forward. The ring suddenly expanded and opened a glowing portal in the air.

Sonic stepped through the portal for a moment and quickly appeared again from another ring nearby.

He looked back at the crew and said calmly, "That's the end of my story."

Then he added, "And I still have about one hundred of these golden rings."

Luffy's eyes widened with excitement. "Whoa! That's amazing!"

Zoro raised an eyebrow, watching the portal carefully.

Nami looked stunned. "Those rings can open portals?"

Usopp stared in shock. "You mean you can just travel anywhere with those?"

Screen 4

Sonic held one of the golden rings in his hand and looked at the crew. "There are some rules about these rings," he said calmly.

"First, I don't really use them much in this world. They are not very useful for normal travel in the seas."

"Second, the rings are mainly for emergency escape. I only use them if the crew is in serious danger."

"Third, I cannot always choose the exact place. The ring opens a portal, but unless I have been somewhere before, I don't know where it will lead."

Sonic looked at the ring quietly for a moment before continuing. "And I only have one hundred of them. Longclaw gave them to me before she sent me away… so I use them carefully."

Luffy listened and nodded. "That's fine. We don't need shortcuts anyway."

Zoro crossed his arms. "Saving them for emergencies makes sense."

Nami looked at the ring thoughtfully. "Only one hundred… yeah, those should be used carefully."

Usopp stared at the glowing ring with amazement. "Still… that's an incredible treasure."
