"Make sure the Rubypeak team knows they belong at station three, not station two," I told Bridget, smoothing down my navy blazer with the small Moonlight pin attached.
The event space looked perfect. Warm lighting cast an elegant glow over the wine displays and educational boards showcasing our production methods. Guests would start arriving within minutes, and my staff moved like clockwork, putting finishing touches on every detail.
"Maya, Victor needs you in the lobby," an assistant called out as he rushed past.
I located my boss near the main doors, fidgeting with his tie. Victor Daugherty had the restless energy of someone perpetually caffeinated, making everyone around him feel slightly on edge.
"There you are!" His expression brightened the moment he spotted me. "This looks absolutely incredible. You've outdone yourself again."
