Chapter 1 - The Omen of the Ninja Mobile Game’s Descent

(Damn it! Kakashi was a full pity pull!!)

Rumble— Rumble—

The sky seemed to fracture as clouds churned with rolling thunder and flashes of lightning.

At this very moment, whether they were eating, sleeping, in class, performing missions, or even "creating life"...

Without exception, everyone subconsciously looked up at the sky.

A light curtain formed in an instant, hanging high overhead like a massive sheet of paper covering the heavens.

It had no thickness—it was paper-thin.

Yet, strangely, no matter which direction people looked from, they all saw the same flat plane.

This sight was seared into the eyes of everyone in the ninja world.

The Great Hidden Villages and ordinary civilians alike were filled with curiosity and alarm at this sudden phenomenon.

Swish, swish, swish—

The "paper" suddenly lit up, and lines of text appeared one after another, the words shimmering with an eerie glow.

Before people could figure out what this mysterious object was, they were stunned by what was written upon it:

[There have already been three Shinobi World Wars.]

[Because of interest, because of hatred, because of greed... slaughter has manifested upon this land.]

[Start War — Get Wounded — Ceasefire — Recover — Start War — Get Wounded — Ceasefire — Recover...]

[Time after time, again and again, the scale continues to expand. It began with adults, but eventually, even children were forced onto the battlefield.]

[This is an era of war that has surpassed the Warring States period!]

[The Ninja Villages, acting as giant war machines, cultivate one ninja after another and impatiently dispatch them to the battlefield.]

[To plunder, and to protect.]

[The sacrifice has reached a point where it can no longer be tolerated. The world can no longer sit by and watch the emergence of a Fourth Shinobi World War.]

[That would be...]

[A war capable of destroying half of the people in the ninja world!]

[A world filled with the sounds of weeping and mourning is wrong!]

[To prevent development into the worst possible conclusion, the world itself has been forced to take compulsory measures.]

[This is a tool for the diversion of conflict; perhaps it is the creation that will most likely end the Era of Ninjas.]

[The Ninja Mobile Game! Is born!]

At this moment, the eyes of the entire world were focused on this unprecedented thing.

Incredible, enough to be called world-shaking!

It was an existence that made one feel shocked from the bottom of their heart, a mix of absurdity and tension bubbling up within.

It was a pure, instinctive fear of the unknown.

Hidden Leaf Village

Inside the Hokage's office, the Third Hokage, Hiruzen Sarutobi, was puffing out clouds of smoke, his face blurred by the white haze.

That aged face was etched with complexity; after staring deeply at the light curtain, he let out a helpless sigh.

"War, huh."

As a party forced to participate in all three Shinobi World Wars, he understood the meaning of sacrifice and the purpose of a ninja's existence.

Though he hated war just as much, looking at the intent of the light curtain, could it be that it intended to strip away the very existence of the "ninja"?

No one knew what kind of power it was, and no one dared to be certain of the outcome.

But at the very least, they could confirm one thing:

This would likely become a wind that changes the fate of the ninja world, blowing toward an unknown path.

Hidden Sand Village

In the Kazekage's office, the Fourth Kazekage, Rasa, stood with his arms crossed in silence, his heart filled with unease.

Among the Great Villages after the war, the Hidden Sand had undoubtedly recovered the worst.

Even as the leader, Rasa had not dared to relax for a moment over the years, especially regarding the Land of Wind...

Thinking of the Land of Wind made Rasa's head ache, and thinking of his useless son made him press his hand to his forehead.

"All they know is how to cut funding... one rampage after another... that is the extent of your low value!"

In an office with only one person, even a man bearing the title of "Kage" would complain.

Hidden Cloud Village

Suddenly, a loud crash echoed from the Raikage's office, but the ninjas passing by outside were already used to it.

"Don't give me that crap! Is that thing trying to tell me the world has its own consciousness and is actively trying to stop war? What a joke!"

The Fourth Raikage, A, smashed his desk with a fist. In his extreme rage, faint sparks of azure lightning flickered across his body.

This was indeed hard to believe.

First, it was too sudden—there wasn't a single omen; it just appeared out of nowhere.

Second, it was precisely because it was sudden and shocking enough that it caused such a massive reaction.

Because no human could achieve something of this magnitude!

"Lord Raikage, regardless of the situation, we should avoid acting rashly, even if only temporarily," the secretary Mabui said calmly.

A took a deep breath and sat back down.

Even if the Sage of Six Paths himself appeared, he would find it hard to believe, but he would continue to watch.

Hidden Stone Village

The Third Tsuchikage, Onoki, was much calmer than the Raikage, thinking quietly behind his desk.

First of all, no matter who was behind this, that person at least disliked war—even loathed it—to the point of orchestrating this display.

But what was a "Ninja Mobile Game"?

Onoki couldn't figure it out; just staring at the words made his head feel itchy.

He said to the guard who had just arrived, "Hold back any missions that require leaving the village. For those already out, try to avoid conflicts with ninjas from other countries."

Hidden Mist Village

There were several people in the Mizukage's office: the leader of this generation, Mei Terumi, and her two confidants.

"Byakugan Killer" Ao.

"Ordinary person," Chojuro.

However, none of the three spoke at this moment; they all looked toward the old man sitting in the main seat.

Genji, the elder who held power despite not being the Mizukage.

"For our village, this might be a significant opportunity," Genji said slowly.

Mei Terumi and the others nodded. In any case, for the Hidden Mist, things couldn't get any worse.

Hidden Rain Village

At the top of the tallest tower in the village, Pain and Konan stood side by side, gazing at the light curtain high in the sky.

"Do you believe what it says?" Konan asked.

"I believe it," Pain said calmly. "The world has already recognized our long-cherished wish. This scene shall be the cornerstone of peace."

Why wouldn't he believe it?

Since the world itself suffered from war, someone needed to eliminate war.

That's right! The existence that can bring peace to the ninja world... is Akatsuki!

Only those who can achieve all this are Gods!

Just as the people of the entire ninja world were feeling anxious or apprehensive, in a corner of the world, a certain creature that was different from humans was left completely bewildered.

"What is this thing?"

Black Zetsu looked the motionless light curtain up and down, finding it inconceivable.

He had lived for an unknown number of years, but he had never heard of the existence of such a thing.

Could it be something those two unfilial sons created?

Black Zetsu thought about it and shook his head, feeling it was impossible. After all, he had confirmed that the Sage of Six Paths and his brother were dead.

Of course, if one were to say who disbelieved the light curtain the most right now, Black Zetsu was in a league of his own.

Abolish war? Nonsense!

If war were gone, where would he go to instigate Akatsuki to collect the Tailed Beasts? Where would he go to push for the activation of the Infinite Tsukuyomi? Where would he go to rescue his suffering mother?

Just as Black Zetsu was thinking this, the light curtain finally changed, drawing everyone's attention.

On this day, under the collective witness of everyone, they would behold the descent of a new era!
