The sudden pop-up flashing across her mind caught Kaguya off guard for a moment, and a small smile crept onto her face — 15,000 Points was nothing to sneeze at, after all.

Between her earlier haul from the Void Beast battle in the Naruto world (43,000 Points) and whatever she'd had on hand before that, she was already sitting at 45,000 Points.

This invitation quest's 15,000-Point reward brought her grand total up to a full 60,000 Points.

She hadn't touched any of it yet, either — unlike Yukari, the Ancient One, Whitebeard, and the rest, who tended to dump everything they earned right back out the moment it landed.

Crossing the sixty-thousand mark left her in a genuinely good mood.

"Ahri, Yukari-nee, since the quest's wrapped up, I'll head back for now."

Kaguya said her goodbyes to both Yukari and the newly-joined Ahri. Yukari nodded. "Mm, it is getting late. I only just got back to Gensokyo from Admin-sama's world a little while ago, hadn't even had time for a bath before coming out here to League of Legends. I should head back myself — a nice soak in the hot springs sounds about right."

As the group's newest member, Ahri didn't yet fully grasp the mechanics of world-crossing.

She watched, a little dazed, as Kaguya and Yukari both departed one after the other.

Her eyes drifted, a little unfocused, down to her own body — the wounds mostly healed by now.

She understood this much: whatever tool that "Yukari" person had used — some kind of "spell card," apparently — had sped her recovery up dramatically.

Without it, even as a nine-tailed fox spirit, injuries this severe would have taken her at least half a month to properly heal on their own.

Ahri rose slowly from the rock she'd been sitting on, her slender figure more than capable of holding its own even by the Dimensional Chat Group's standards.

Whether her looks measured up was a harder question, though — most of the group's female members were, after all, essentially two-dimensional characters plucked straight out of fiction.

And two-dimensional fictional characters were never in short supply of good looks. Which meant, functionally, every female member of the group sat at more or less the exact same tier — impossible to rank against one another, all hovering somewhere around a solid 9-out-of-9, Ahri very much included, newcomer or not.

"Yukari-senpai's already taken care of the people hunting me down. Which means, going back now, I shouldn't run into that group again."

Ahri's lips, pale and faintly bluish just a while ago, had regained a healthy flush of color, and her delicate face no longer carried that sickly pallor.

She genuinely couldn't decide whether today had been her lucky day or her unlucky one.

On the lucky side: she'd stumbled into this bizarre, unbelievable organization and become one of its members, and the atmosphere inside it seemed remarkably warm and welcoming.

If it hadn't been for Yukari and Kaguya, she'd almost certainly be dead right now, killed by those so-called rule-breaking rein... whatever-they-were.

Looked at that way, today had actually turned out pretty lucky.

On the other hand, she'd been hunted down for absolutely no reason at all, sabotaged by some underhanded trick that had crippled her to fifty or sixty percent of her power, left critically wounded, and nearly died.

Looked at that way, today had been an outright disaster. Either way, Ahri decided the whole day had just been a little too surreal for her taste.

"Yukari-senpai's a Moderator of the group, and so is the one called 'Tatsumaki.' And the one called 'RawrSoFierce' is the Admin himself."

Ahri wiped a smear of blood from her cheek, murmuring to herself, "Group Points? Group Events? Group Quests? Daily sign-in? So many strange features."

She turned her attention to the group's pinned announcement — a wall of text running several thousand characters long, dense enough to make most people's eyes glaze over.

But as a nine-tailed fox spirit, something like that hardly presented much of a challenge.

A single careful read-through was all it took for her to commit the entire multi-thousand-character announcement to memory, word for word.

It took her a solid ten-odd minutes, working through it slowly and methodically, before she'd finished reading and locking it all in.

"I see! So the Dimensional Chat Group can move members back and forth across countless different dimensional worlds — and it doubles as some kind of tool for making members stronger, too? Incredible."

Ahri had no idea whether any god or divine being was even capable of creating something like this, connecting so many different worlds together.

Maybe such a thing was possible.

Maybe it wasn't.

At her own level, she had no real understanding of what powers like that might be capable of — it was all just speculation without any real basis.

She tried tapping the daily sign-in button, since the announcement had made clear that, outside of group quests and group events, the daily sign-in was essentially the only other reliable way to earn Points.

Sure, even with the best possible luck, the sign-in only ever capped out at 100 Points a day — but small amounts added up over time.

If someone's luck held steady at maximum every single day...

That worked out to roughly 3,000–3,100 Points a month. Over thirty thousand a year.

Ten years, and you'd be sitting on over three hundred thousand. A hundred years, and the number became almost absurd.

For a nine-tailed fox spirit like Ahri, honestly, ten years was barely a blink of an eye.

Even relying purely on the daily sign-in with nothing else, ten straight years of decent luck would put her at a floor of around a hundred thousand Points, easily.

She touched the wound along her ribs — it itched terribly now, a clear sign of Yukari's spell-card treatment accelerating the healing process. Knowing that, she resisted the urge to scratch at it or unwrap the bandage.

"Well... however you look at it, today was Ahri's lucky day. All the bad luck got completely outweighed by the good in the end — what else would you even call that, if not lucky?"

Looking at the 90 Points she'd just earned from her first sign-in, a genuine smile of delight spread across Ahri's face. Today really did seem to be her lucky day.

Just ten Points shy of the daily maximum of 100. Could she really call that anything other than good fortune?
