Sure enough, the chat group stayed perfectly consistent with every previous group event's closing ritual — Yukari and Tony Stark remained the two unluckiest members, without fail.
Not that it mattered too much in the end. However bad their luck ran, the event gift box was still free, handed out regardless. Whatever came out of it — Points, items, all of it — was pure bonus, no cost attached, even on an unlucky pull.
So even the group's unluckiest members still found some small comfort in that.
Kaguya-sama: Come to think of it, Admin-sama and I both got the same prize — one Newcomer Invitation opportunity. So there's no issue with me inviting someone too, right?
Terrible Tornado: No issue at all — whoever the newcomer ends up being, once they're in the Dimensional Chat Group, they're family.
Kaguya-sama: Hmm... I actually have two people in mind who'd both be perfect, honestly. Just not sure they'd even want to join.
Kaguya-sama: And I can only invite one. This is genuinely agonizing!
Eternally Seventeen: "They"? Are both of little Kaguya's candidates girls, then?
Kaguya-sama: Yep, both around my age too!

RawrSoFierce: I do have a few candidates, yeah... just none of them feel quite right, somehow.
RawrSoFierce: Maybe it's because I don't know any of them well enough. Or maybe something else entirely.

Edward Newgate: Gurararara, "final boss," sure — but Admin, aren't you the biggest boss in your own world at this point?
RawrSoFierce: Ahem, well, she'd be the second-biggest boss, then.

Right — Ryū's genuinely bold idea was to try bringing Ōtsutsuki Kaguya into the group.
The Naruto world's original final boss had, at this point, been demoted to second place — with Ryū himself firmly holding the title of top threat in the Naruto world these days.
He had no idea whether the sealed, incapacitated Ōtsutsuki Kaguya could even receive the group's invitation in her current state — but there was only one way to find out.
Ryū wasn't especially conflicted about this kind of decision. He genuinely didn't care who from the Naruto world joined the group, so long as they weren't someone he personally found repulsive.
So he simply went for it — using his newcomer invitation on Ōtsutsuki Kaguya, currently sealed away on the moon.
Ryū held no particular grudge over whatever she'd done in the past, either. The Dimensional Chat Group was hardly some paragon of moral purity itself — with battles on the scale this group regularly fought, who among them didn't have a few unlucky souls on their conscience somewhere?
Even Ryū himself had no real idea how many ordinary civilians had ended up caught in the crossfire of his own fights over the years — tens of thousands, maybe? Possibly more, even. Especially that one time in Eriri's world, when entire provinces had been leveled flat.
Meanwhile, in the world of Kaguya-sama: Love Is War, having secured Ryū's approval as Admin, Kaguya Shinomiya sank into thought.
She was, understandably, caught in a genuine dilemma — torn between bringing in Chika, or Hayasaka. A genuinely difficult call.
One was a childhood friend she'd grown up alongside; the other, her closest friend at school. Not an easy decision by any measure.
In the end, Kaguya settled on the simplest possible method — she'd let a die decide.
Odd number, Fujiwara Chika. Even number, Hayasaka Ai. Whichever it landed on, fate would make the call for her.
She pulled a die out of her desk drawer, closed her eyes, and tossed it onto the bed in front of her.
The die spun wildly through the air before finally landing dead center on the mattress.
Kaguya opened her eyes at the same moment, looked at the number showing — a 5 — and sank into thought once more.
"Odd number, huh... that means Chika-san. Well, if fate's made its choice, no point fighting it any further today."
Murmuring that to herself, Kaguya used her invitation opportunity and reached out, tentatively, to Fujiwara Chika.
Whether the girl would actually accept, Kaguya had no way of knowing yet. If she turned it down, well — Hayasaka would be next in line.
Well then — decision made, just like that.
A little too casual a method, maybe?
Eh, whatever. The invitation had already gone out either way.
