Chapter 4 - Chapter 4 — The First Customers

The two outer disciples stood outside the strange building, staring at it with confusion. Just a few hours ago, this place had been an empty patch of land behind Cloud Mist Peak's training grounds. Yet now, a completely unfamiliar structure stood there as if it had existed for years. Its smooth walls, large windows, and glowing lights made it look nothing like the traditional wooden buildings found throughout the Lingyuan Sect.

One of the disciples scratched his head while reading the signboard above the door.

"Cloud Mist Internet Café…"

He slowly turned to his companion. "What kind of place is an internet café?"

The other disciple shrugged. "How would I know? Maybe it's some kind of cultivation hall."

Before they could continue guessing, the door slowly opened.

Lin Tian stepped outside with a calm expression.

The two disciples were slightly surprised when they saw him.

"Peak Master Lin!" one of them quickly greeted while cupping his fists respectfully.

Although Lin Tian was young, the news that he had become the new Peak Master of Cloud Mist Peak had already spread through the sect. The disciples had heard rumors about him earlier that day.

Lin Tian nodded politely. "You two look curious."

The disciples glanced back at the strange building.

"Peak Master Lin… what exactly is this place?" one of them asked cautiously.

Lin Tian smiled faintly. "A training ground."

The two disciples blinked in confusion.

"Training ground?"

Lin Tian nodded. "Inside this shop, you can enter special training realms that allow you to gain combat experience."

The disciples exchanged doubtful looks.

In the cultivation world, gaining combat experience required real battles or dangerous missions. The idea of a building that could somehow provide battle experience sounded ridiculous.

Seeing their hesitation, Lin Tian calmly stepped aside and gestured toward the entrance.

"You can try it yourselves."

The two disciples hesitated for a moment before slowly walking inside.

The moment they entered the shop, their expressions changed.

Rows of strange machines filled the room, each one equipped with a glowing screen that displayed unfamiliar symbols. The entire place was brightly lit, and the atmosphere felt comfortable and strangely peaceful.

One of the disciples whispered, "What are these things?"

Lin Tian walked over to one of the computers and gently tapped the screen. Instantly, several titles appeared.

Zombie Catastrophe Realm.God Slayer Trial.Battle Royale Survival.Tactical War Arena.Creation Realm.

The two disciples stared at the glowing screen in amazement.

Lin Tian explained calmly, "These are training realms. When you sit here and activate the machine, your consciousness will enter a simulated world where you can fight enemies and train your combat skills."

The disciples looked even more confused.

"You mean… like an illusion formation?" one of them asked.

Lin Tian thought for a moment before nodding. "You can think of it that way."

The disciple scratched his head again. "But illusion formations can't improve real combat ability."

Lin Tian smiled slightly. "This one can."

The two disciples looked at each other, clearly skeptical.

Lin Tian leaned casually against the table. "First time is free."

The moment they heard that, the disciples' eyes lit up.

"Free?"

They quickly sat down in front of two computers.

Lin Tian calmly explained how to use the strange devices. After a few moments of awkward adjustments, both disciples placed their hands on the controls.

The screens suddenly glowed brightly.

In the next instant, their consciousness was pulled into the system.

Both disciples suddenly found themselves standing in a dark, ruined city filled with broken buildings and scattered debris.

The air smelled strange, and distant growls echoed through the streets.

"What… where are we?" one of them muttered nervously.

Before the other disciple could answer, a terrifying figure slowly emerged from the shadows.

A pale creature with twisted limbs and blood-red eyes staggered toward them.

The two disciples froze.

"What kind of demonic beast is that?!"

The creature suddenly let out a horrifying roar and charged toward them.

"RUN!"

The two disciples immediately grabbed the weapons that had appeared in their hands and started fighting desperately.

Inside the computer shop, Lin Tian calmly watched the glowing screens.

A small smile appeared on his face.

"This should spread through the sect pretty quickly."

Several minutes later, the two disciples suddenly opened their eyes and gasped loudly.

They were back in their chairs.

Sweat covered their foreheads as they looked around the room in shock.

"That… that was real!" one of them exclaimed.

The other disciple clenched his fists and suddenly froze.

"My spear technique…"

He quickly stood up and performed a few movements.

His eyes widened in disbelief.

"It became smoother!"

The first disciple quickly checked his own movements and felt the same improvement.

Both of them turned toward Lin Tian with shocked expressions.

"Peak Master Lin… what is this place?"

Lin Tian simply smiled.

"It's called the Cloud Mist Internet Café."

The two disciples immediately rushed out of the shop in excitement.

As they ran down the mountain path, their excited voices echoed across the peak.

"There's a place on Cloud Mist Peak where you can fight monsters!"

"You can actually improve your techniques inside!"

Lin Tian watched them disappear down the path and calmly leaned back in his chair.

By tomorrow morning…

The entire Lingyuan Sect would hear about this place.
