Upon arriving at their destination, all three stepped off the train. Erza, not wanting to waste any time, decided to split up from Alex and Cana to finish the task Mirajane had assigned to her.
Cana almost danced for joy as she watched Erza walk away on her own. She was already scheming about how to set up a scenario where she could get Alex all to herself.
"So, shall we head out?" Alex asked after watching Erza depart.
Cana nodded, and the two made their way to the outskirts of the town, where the Vulcans had reportedly been sighted.
Since Vulcans inhabit mountainous areas, Cana and Alex had to trek up the steep terrain to reach the beasts' domain.
The path uphill was narrow, allowing only one person to pass at a time; otherwise, you'd be stepping through brush and jagged rocks.
In theory, this shouldn't have been a problem. However, for some reason, Cana was walking right ahead of Alex. Because of the steep incline, Cana's rear end ended up directly at Alex's eye level. As they walked, Cana would occasionally sway her hips in a rather provocative manner.
It was just like Mirajane whenever she wanted to tease Alex into staring at her ass. And Alex, being the heterosexual man he was, simply couldn't look away.

"Whatever, I'll let it slide this time," Cana said aloud. "But the next time you get distracted like that, you owe me a few beers."
Alex nodded. "Sure, when we get back to the guild, I'll buy you a drink as an apology for making you fall into the water."
Cana smiled and kept walking up the mountain toward the Vulcans' habitat.
When they arrived, they spotted the ape-like Vulcans descending the mountain. The beasts were highly territorial.
Cana was already plotting how to leverage the situation into another ecchi scenario where she could "accidentally" lose some clothing again.
Unfortunately for her, Alex wanted to wrap up the mission as quickly as possible, and the Vulcans were far from strong.
Using All Fiction, Alex instantly closed the distance between himself and the beasts, manifesting several sharp iron screws in his hands.
He hurled them toward every Vulcan in sight.
"Splat."
Blood spurted from a Vulcan's body, creating a gory display that terrified the rest of the pack.
Overcome by the fear of death, the remaining Vulcans scattered in sheer terror, fleeing from Alex.
"Alright, mission complete," Alex declared.
"They won't bother the village anymore. They'll likely find a new home far away from this mountain."
And just like that, Alex brought the mission to an end without giving Cana a single chance for another fan service scene.
Cana stood there stunned by the sheer speed with which Alex had dispatched the Vulcans. Absorbed in her fantasies, she hadn't even had time to pull out her magic cards to help.
