Chapter 10 - The Dangerous Encounter

Ariana quickly looked away and continued walking toward the main building.

Her heart was beating strangely fast.

She didn't know why.

Maybe it was because of the way Kayden Sawyer had looked at her.

But Ariana pushed the thought away.

"I'm just here to study," she told herself.

She walked into the hallway filled with students searching for their classrooms.

Just as she was about to check the classroom list on the wall—

She accidentally bumped into someone.

Her books fell to the floor.

"Oh! I'm so sorry!" Ariana said quickly as she bent down to pick them up.

Before she could grab them, another hand picked up one of her books.

Ariana looked up.

And froze.

It was Kayden Sawyer.

He held her book in his hand and looked at her with a curious smile.

"So you're the girl from the gate," he said.

Ariana quickly stood up and took the book from his hand.

"Thank you," she said quietly.

Kayden tilted his head slightly, studying her face.

"You're new here," he said.

It wasn't a question.

Ariana nodded.

"Scholarship student?"

She looked surprised.

"How did you know?"

Kayden chuckled.

"I know everyone who studies here."

Before Ariana could respond, another voice spoke behind them.

"Kayden."

The voice was calm but firm.

Jayden walked toward them.

His cold eyes moved from his brother to Ariana.

For a moment, Jayden's expression changed.

Something inside him felt strange.

Like a sudden pull.

His wolf instinct reacted instantly.

Jayden frowned slightly.

This had never happened before.

Kayden noticed the change in his brother's face.

A small smirk appeared on his lips.

"Interesting," he muttered quietly.

Jayden quickly looked away and spoke coldly.

"We're going to be late."

Kayden shrugged.

"Relax, Alpha."

He looked back at Ariana one more time.

"See you around," he said casually.

Then both brothers walked away down the hallway.

Leaving Ariana standing there, completely confused.

She didn't know it yet…

But she had just met the two most dangerous men in the entire city.

And this encounter…

Was only the beginning.
