Chapter 7:The Truth Between Us

Some time later, Wang and his father returned home. An unsettling silence hung in the air, as if even the walls were waiting for an approaching storm. As soon as the door closed behind them, Obito spoke in a deep, heavy voice,

"Wang, go to my room and wait for me. We need to talk."

Wang's heart began to pound violently. He saw a hardness in his father's eyes that he rarely ever witnessed.

"O-okay, Dad," he replied weakly and slowly made his way toward the room.

He had barely taken a few steps when Obito's phone screen lit up. It was Jim calling. Obito answered immediately.

"Obito," Jim said, his voice unusually serious,

"Nira has told me everything. How long Wang and my daughter have been involved, everything Hinata told Nira… and all the things Nira said to Hinata."

Jim carefully relayed the conversation that had taken place between Nira and Hinata.

The moment Obito heard this, his face tightened. A sharp wave of anger flashed through his eyes.

"What has she done…" he muttered through clenched teeth.

"Nira had no right to tell Hinata anything about me or my wife."

Jim quickly explained,

"She only mentioned your marriage and Wang's mother's pregnant when she was sixteen. That's all. She simply said that the same mistake had happened with you and Wang that once happened with Wang's parents."

Obito took a deep breath, as though the weight of many years had collapsed onto his chest all at once.

"Still…" his voice was low but resolute,

"she shouldn't have told Hinata any of that. Now I have to tell Wang everything about his mother."

On the other end of the line, Jim sounded shocked.

"What? You still haven't told him about his mother? Or about yourself?"

There was a brief silence before Obito answered,

"No… I haven't told him anything."

Jim's tone grew even more serious.

"Then tell him everything before you leave, Obito. It's better he hears the truth from you than from someone else."

Obito responded quietly,

"Alright."

After ending the call, he walked toward Wang's room. His steps felt heavy, as if every secret from the past, every hidden mistake and unspoken truth, was pressing down on his shoulders.

He opened the door.

Inside, Wang was talking to someone on his phone. When he saw Obito, he startled and immediately ended the call. His voice trembled.

"Dad… you also got married at sixteen, didn't you?"

He paused, then said hesitantly,

"And you made the same mistake… the one Hinata and I made."

Obito stopped for a moment.

"Who told you that?"

His voice was calm, but it carried a deep, undeniable weight.

Wang lowered his gaze.

"Hinata did… and she heard it from her mother."

Anger flickered in Obito's eyes, mixed with an unfamiliar softness. He slowly stepped forward until he was standing directly in front of Wang.

"The time has come, Wang," he said in a deep voice.

"I'm going to tell you everything—about your mother, about your grandparents… and about myself. I'll tell you where I came from, what we truly are, and what our purpose is."

As he spoke, Obito extended his hand. Blue-white light began to gather in his palm, as if lightning itself were breathing. Within moments, the light condensed into a blazing sphere of energy, crackling and screaming with power.

Obito turned toward the window. Far in the distance, massive mountains stood silently in the darkness. He thrust his hand forward.

The sphere of lightning tore through the sky toward the mountains.

A deafening explosion followed. The earth shook violently. In an instant, the distant mountains shattered, reduced to ash, as a terrifying storm of light and dust rose into the air.

Wang's entire body trembled. His eyes widened in pure terror.

"D-Dad…" he whispered, barely able to speak.

In a deep, mysterious voice, Obito said,

"This is only the beginning, my son. The truth I am about to tell you… is far heavier than this."

Silence filled the room.

But it was no ordinary silence—

it was the silence of a truth powerful enough to change an entire world.
