Chapter 7 - Chapter 7 – Bound by Destiny

I stood still, struggling to catch up with my breath. All the worries, betrayal, slaughter, and terror, made my stomach churn. I started sprinting again, eyeing around the forest in search for Shiro. "SHIRO" my scream echoed as it pierced my ears in half, but it was worth it. "If love won't bond us together, then hate will" My lips curved into a slight smile. My body shifted from North, East, South, West, until I finally saw Shiro. "She is finally looking at me" I smiled, thinking she gave up on her lamb and forgave me. Finally… every event that we've suffered… will be forgotten. "I hope Shiro will forgive me… and especially understand," I sighed heavily. My eyes were locked on hers, while she looked away. She doesn't want me feeling lonely, doesn't she? Does she know about our past?

I got up to her and stood there wearing a blood-stained shirt. The taste of metallic blood went through my lungs making me feel pleasure but sick. "This was all done out of…" I managed, but she made my mouth close once a tear fell down her eye. "I always thought you would understand me, why couldn't you now? We've been friends since we were small, your dad used me as an experiment, but it failed luckily," Shiro cried, then started hitching. I saw a tall, eerie looking man coldly glancing at Shiro from behind. I covered Shiro with a hug, but she shoved me away. "Please stay like this," I whispered, my breath brushing against her ear. She shoved me away even harder. "I have NO ONE to trust," Shiro shoved me and took a few careful footsteps back. She bumped into my dad. Before I could pull Shiro away from him, he grabbed her by the collar neck and slid her behind. I stood there firm, ready to attack him whenever. I looked at Shiro, and she smirked. What is going on? Are they a team, or…

She smiled wider and started bursting into a wicked laughter, to the point I just stared at her coldly. I took a few steps backward. "SHIRO STOP WITH YOUR LITTLE SCHEMES, PLEASE," I screamed. Everyone froze, the forest held its breath, no one breathed expect me. My dad looked at me with open, wide eyes as if he had been stabbed by an assassin. I hesitated. I flinched. Shiro walked over to me, as my dad stood there, staring in shock. I backed away. "Don't you dare come any closer," I spoke, my voice managed to creak open. She stopped; one arm lunged forward at me. My eyes started to water, drop by drop as if pain was slaughtered by the sharpest blade. I crouched, head buried in my knees. I started sobbing… it was the first time I had felt this way – the pain vanishing… slowly.
