Chapter 13
The west wing of the manor was silent again. Hallia hesitated outside the carved black door – the Alpha's private study.
She had promised herself she would never come back here. But the symbols and the drawings she had seen that night refused to leave her mind.
And the words she hadn't finished reading kept echoing in her ears.
"Hear the whisper of the Moon,….."
Curiosity gnawed at her.
Slowly, she pushes the door open. The room is empty. Relief washed over her as she stepped inside. The ancient book still rested on the desk, haphazardly set aside. Hallia opened it and carefully looked for the page where a woman standing beneath the moon with a wolf beside her.
This time she had read more of the text.
" Hear the whisper of the Moon, written long before the rise of Kings and fall of Beasts…. When the Moon, in her ancient wisdom, chooses a human heart, a destiny long foretold shall awaken.
She will come not as a warrior, nor as a wolf, but as the light sent to heal the beast whose soul has been darkened by betrayal.
Bound not only to the man but to the beast within him, their fates shall intertwine beneath the sacred glow of the Moon.

" A human…. That doesn't makes sense."
Out of nowhere, a faint glow flickered across the page. Hallia blinked. The symbol of a crescent moon slowly appeared beneath the writing. Her heart raced.
" What…?"
Before she could look at it closely, footsteps echoed in the hallway. Hallia quickly shut the book. But she had the strange feeling the prophecy had just reveal to her.
