Chapter 2 - chapter 2

Start of the Kryptonian Galaxy

Chapter Two — Memories of Two Worlds

The silver light of Krypton's sky stretched across the towering crystal city as Dru-Zod stood silently in his chamber.

Moments ago, his entire life had changed.

He had awakened on the legendary planet Krypton, inside the body of a Kryptonian noble from House Zod. Even now, the realization still felt surreal.

Two lifetimes of memories coexisted inside his mind.

One belonged to a normal human from Earth.

The other belonged to a young Kryptonian aristocrat raised among one of the most militaristic houses on the planet.

Dru slowly walked across the chamber, absorbing the strange fusion of identities.

The Kryptonian body he now possessed moved with perfect balance. His muscles responded instantly, and every step felt precise and powerful.

Krypton's gravity was far stronger than Earth's, yet he felt completely comfortable here.

That alone told him just how physically superior Kryptonians were compared to humans.

But physical strength was the least important thing on his mind.

Instead, Dru focused on the memories.

He closed his eyes.

The memories of the original Dru-Zod surfaced like pages from a long-forgotten book.

A childhood within the military estates of House Zod.

Strict training.

Combat simulations.

Strategic lessons.

Political education.

House Zod valued strength above all else.

Not only physical strength.

But discipline, loyalty, and the ability to command armies.

That was the legacy of the house ruled by the infamous Kryptonian war leader—

General Zod

Dru smirked slightly.

"Cousin Zod…"

The original Dru-Zod had admired him.

Respected him.

Feared him.

But the new Dru-Zod—armed with memories of Earth and knowledge of the future—saw things very differently.

He walked toward the large window again, staring out across the shining Kryptonian city.

"You're strong…"

He admitted quietly.

"But you're also reckless."

In the original timeline, General Zod's rebellion against Krypton's council would lead to his exile into the Phantom Zone.

And eventually—

His escape.

His war against Earth.

His defeat.

Dru shook his head.

"No long-term thinking."

The general was powerful, but he lacked vision.

He only cared about Krypton's military dominance.

Meanwhile, the planet itself was dying beneath their feet.

Dru placed his hands behind his back as he observed the distant skyline.

Among the countless Kryptonian cities, one towered above all others.

The capital city—

Kandor

The center of Kryptonian science, politics, and governance.

Somewhere within those towers worked the brilliant scientist Jor-El.

The man who would eventually discover Krypton's inevitable destruction.

And yet…

No one would listen to him.

Not the council.

Not the military.

Not the people.

Dru exhaled slowly.

"Arrogance."

Krypton had become too comfortable with its own perfection.

For thousands of years, their civilization had reached technological heights that few species could match.

Genetic engineering.

Advanced energy systems.

Artificial intelligence.

Planetary-scale science.

They had conquered almost every problem imaginable.

And because of that…

They had stopped fearing the future.

Dru leaned against the window.

"But I know better."

He knew exactly how Krypton would die.

The planet's core was unstable.

Decades of reckless energy extraction had destabilized the planet's internal structure.

Eventually, the pressure would reach a breaking point.

And Krypton would explode.

Not collapse.

Not slowly decay.

But explode violently enough to scatter its fragments across space.

A fate no technology on the planet could stop.

Dru opened his eyes again.

"Ten years."

That was the amount of time he had.

Ten years to prepare.

Ten years to gather resources.

Ten years to secretly evacuate as many Kryptonians as possible.

And if possible…

Build the foundation of an entirely new civilization.

A faint blue glow appeared again in front of him.

The System Interface returned.

---

KRYPTONIAN SURVIVAL SYSTEM

Host: Dru-Zod

Status: Active

Primary Mission: Survive Krypton's destruction

Secondary Mission: Establish a new Kryptonian civilization

---

Dru studied the screen.

"You're pretty straightforward."

A new section appeared beneath the interface.

---

SYSTEM FUNCTIONS

• Resource Management

• Military Command

• Stargate Network Control

• City-Ship Management

---

His eyes immediately focused on the final option.

City-Ship Management.

That meant the reward he received earlier was real.

The legendary Ancient city-ship—

Atlantis

If the system wasn't lying, Atlantis was already in his possession.

Hidden in a pocket dimension.

Waiting to be deployed.

Dru slowly paced across the room, his mind racing.

Atlantis alone could house tens of thousands of people.

Possibly more if modified.

The city itself possessed technology that even Kryptonians would find impressive.

Energy shields powerful enough to withstand massive bombardment.

Drone weapons capable of destroying fleets.

Hyper-advanced computing systems.

And most importantly—

The Stargate network.

He glanced at the interface again.

Another option glowed faintly.

---

Stargate Network Control

Status: Available

---

Dru smiled.

"So the gates are real too."

The Stargate system allowed instant travel between planets using wormholes.

But the version he received seemed even more powerful.

The interface had mentioned something earlier.

An intergalactic Stargate.

That meant something incredible.

Travel between galaxies.

Dru's mind immediately jumped to the final destination he had read earlier.

The place he would eventually travel to.

The distant galaxy where a completely different civilization thrived.

A galaxy filled with hyperspace travel.

Jedi knights.

Galactic empires.

And endless wars.

The Unknown Regions of the Star Wars galaxy.

A place where even the Galactic Republic barely understood the territory.

A perfect hiding place.

A perfect starting point for a new empire.

But Dru shook his head.

"Not yet."

Jumping to another galaxy immediately would be foolish.

He still needed resources.

People.

Infrastructure.

Most importantly—

Soldiers.

His gaze hardened slightly.

A civilization could not survive without military strength.

Kryptonians might not have powers under their red sun.

But their discipline and physical ability were still far superior to most species.

And under a yellow sun…

They would become something else entirely.

Living weapons.

Dru turned toward the system again.

"How many people can Atlantis hold?"

The system responded instantly.

---

Base Capacity: 50,000 inhabitants

Maximum Expanded Capacity: 250,000 inhabitants

---

His eyebrows rose.

"Two hundred fifty thousand."

That was already a small city.

And if he evacuated multiple locations over time…

The population could grow even further.

But choosing who to save would be critical.

He had no intention of saving everyone.

Especially not certain families.

Dru's expression darkened slightly.

"House El."

The house of Jor-El.

The so-called heroes of Krypton.

In the original timeline, Jor-El would discover Krypton's destruction far too late.

Instead of organizing a planetary evacuation…

He would only save his own child.

A baby named Kal-El.

Sent alone to a distant blue planet called Earth.

Dru crossed his arms.

"That's not heroism."

"That's selfishness."

If Jor-El truly understood the danger, he should have warned the entire planet sooner.

He should have forced the council to act.

But he didn't.

And because of that…

Billions of Kryptonians died.

Dru looked out toward the distant skyline again.

"Well."

"This time things will be different."

But his plans had to remain secret.

If the council discovered he was evacuating large numbers of citizens…

They would shut him down immediately.

Panic was the last thing Krypton's leaders wanted.

Which meant he needed to move carefully.

Quietly.

The first step was simple.

Choose a city.

One city whose population he could secretly move.

One city whose citizens could become the first generation of a new Kryptonian civilization.

Dru's lips curved slightly.

"An entire city…"

"Disappearing."

"And no one noticing."

It sounded impossible.

But with the Stargate system…

It might actually be possible.

He turned toward the system interface again.

"System."

"Yes, Host."

"Prepare the deployment interface for Atlantis."

The blue screen shimmered.

---

City-Ship Atlantis

Status: Ready for deployment

Suggested Deployment Location: Ocean Region of Krypton

---

Dru blinked.

"The ocean?"

Then he understood.

Krypton had vast oceans that most of the population rarely explored.

Placing Atlantis underwater would hide it from almost everyone.

A perfect secret base.

His smile widened slowly.

"Perfect."

The first piece of his plan was already falling into place.

Atlantis would become the hidden heart of his future civilization.

From there, he could build everything else.

Armies.

Technology.

Colonies.

Eventually…

A Kryptonian empire among the stars.

But first—

He needed to begin preparing.

Because the countdown had already started.

Ten years.

That was all the time Krypton had left.

And Dru-Zod intended to use every second of it.
