Chapter 1 - chapter One

Start of the Kryptonian Galaxy

Chapter One — Awakening on Krypton

The sky of Krypton was silver.

Not blue. Not purple like some depictions from alien astronomers. But a shimmering metallic silver that reflected the light of its red sun like a mirror made of clouds.

Dru-Zod opened his eyes beneath that sky.

For several seconds, he did not move.

His mind was heavy, like it had been stuffed with too many memories that did not belong together. Strange images flickered through his thoughts.

Cities of glass towers.

Flying craft cutting through alien skies.

A planet exploding into countless fragments.

A baby rocketing toward a small blue world.

And then… another set of memories entirely.

Traffic lights. Computers. Movies. Internet forums discussing science fiction.

Earth.

He inhaled sharply.

"…What?"

His voice sounded strange to him—clear, powerful, deeper than he expected.

Dru-Zod slowly sat up from the white stone bench where he had been lying.

The room around him was vast, carved from crystal-like structures that glowed faintly with internal light. Tall windows opened toward the skyline of a magnificent alien city.

Flying vehicles drifted through the air in silent patterns.

Massive towers pierced the sky.

Advanced architecture curved like sculpted metal and crystal.

His breathing slowed.

He knew this place.

Or rather… the memories inside his head knew it.

"Krypton…"

The word slipped from his lips almost involuntarily.

This was the homeworld of the Kryptonian race.

The birthplace of the future hero known across the universe as Superman.

The planet that would be destroyed in ten years.

Dru-Zod stood.

His legs felt incredibly strong, as if gravity itself meant nothing to him. Krypton's gravity was higher than Earth's, yet his body moved effortlessly.

That was when the second realization hit him.

This body was not human.

He walked toward the mirror-like wall across the chamber.

A tall Kryptonian noble stared back at him.

Black hair.

Sharp features.

Eyes filled with cold intelligence.

And a symbol on the uniform across his chest.

The sigil of House Zod.

His heartbeat slowed.

"…You have got to be kidding me."

Memories flooded into place.

This body belonged to Dru-Zod, a distant noble of House Zod, and more importantly—

The younger cousin of the infamous Kryptonian general.

General Zod

The future traitor of Krypton.

The man who would attempt to conquer Earth.

Dru rubbed his temples.

"So let me get this straight…"

He began pacing slowly.

"I died… somehow… on Earth…"

He could not remember the exact moment of death. Only that he had been reading a novel late at night.

Then darkness.

Then this.

"And now I've transmigrated into a Kryptonian noble ten years before Krypton explodes."

Silence filled the chamber.

Then Dru suddenly laughed.

Not a nervous laugh.

A genuine one.

"Okay."

He walked toward the enormous window overlooking the city.

"If I'm going to end up anywhere in fiction…"

He looked out over the skyline of Krypton's capital regions.

"…this isn't the worst option."

From this height he could see the shining towers of one of Krypton's great cities.

Far in the distance lay the legendary capital.

Kandor

The jewel of Kryptonian civilization.

For thousands of years Krypton had been the pinnacle of science and order.

Yet Dru knew the truth.

The planet's core was destabilizing.

Its arrogant science council would ignore the warnings.

And eventually—

Krypton would die.

He leaned against the window.

"That gives me… roughly ten years."

Ten years before the end of the planet.

Ten years before Jor-El would try to warn the council.

Ten years before a baby named Kal-El would be launched toward Earth.

Dru crossed his arms.

"Well…"

"If the universe is giving me a second life…"

His smile turned cold.

"…I'm not dying with this planet."

But escaping Krypton was not simple.

Kryptonians rarely left their world anymore.

Space exploration had declined centuries ago.

The government was rigid.

Controlled.

Closed.

Which meant one thing.

"If I want to survive…"

"I'll need power."

Military power.

Political influence.

Technology.

And perhaps most importantly—

A way off the planet.

Dru turned away from the window.

Just as he did—

A soft chime echoed inside his mind.

DING.

He froze.

"…What was that?"

Then a translucent blue screen appeared before his eyes.

Floating in the air.

Impossible.

Familiar.

A system interface.

---

KRYPTONIAN SURVIVAL SYSTEM ACTIVATED

---

Dru stared at the glowing text.

For three long seconds.

Then he slowly smiled.

"Oh."

"Oh this is perfect."

Lines of information began appearing one after another.

---

Host Identified

Name: Dru-Zod

Race: Kryptonian

House: Zod

Timeline: 10 Years Before Krypton's Destruction

Primary Objective: Survive the destruction of Krypton.

Secondary Objective: Build a new Kryptonian civilization.

Reward System: Active

---

Dru's grin widened.

"You're telling me…"

"I got transmigrated into Krypton…"

"Ten years before the apocalypse…"

"And I have a system?"

He leaned closer to the floating screen.

"I love this universe already."

Another prompt appeared.

---

NEWBIE PACKAGE AVAILABLE

Would you like to open the package?

YES / NO

---

Dru didn't hesitate.

"Yes."

The screen flashed.

Light filled the room.

Then a massive list of rewards appeared.

---

NEWBIE PACKAGE UNLOCKED

Rewards:

• Modified Ancient City-Ship Atlantis

• One Gate-Ship Puddle Jumper

• One Intergalactic Stargate

• Kryptonian DNA compatibility upgrade

• Military Command Interface

• Starter Resource Vault

---

For once in his life…

Dru-Zod was completely speechless.

"…Atlantis?"

"The Atlantis from Stargate?"

His mind raced.

The Ancient city-ship Atlantis was not just a city.

It was a mobile interstellar fortress.

Capable of traveling between galaxies.

Capable of housing tens of thousands of people.

Equipped with shields.

Weapons.

Advanced technology far beyond most civilizations.

Slowly… a terrifying idea formed in his mind.

"If Atlantis exists…"

"That means Stargates exist too."

Which meant something even more insane.

Intergalactic travel.

Dru began laughing again.

The kind of laugh that echoed through the entire chamber.

The kind of laugh that belonged to someone who had just realized the universe had handed him an impossible advantage.

"Krypton is doomed."

"That's inevitable."

"But now…"

He looked toward the silver sky again.

"I don't just have a way to escape."

"I have a way to take Krypton with me."

His mind began calculating instantly.

Atlantis could house a massive population.

Stargates could move people instantly.

If he acted carefully…

Quietly…

He could evacuate thousands.

Maybe millions.

But there were complications.

Politics.

The science council.

The Kryptonian military.

And one particular family.

House El.

Dru's expression hardened.

The house of Jor-El.

The family that would warn Krypton too late.

The family that would save only their own child.

He folded his arms.

"Let them keep their secrets."

"If they want to stay and die…"

"That's their problem."

He had no intention of saving everyone.

But he would save those who mattered.

Soldiers.

Engineers.

Scientists.

Loyal citizens.

The foundation of a new empire.

Then he would leave this dying world behind.

And when he did…

He wouldn't just survive.

He would build something greater.

A Kryptonian civilization reborn among the stars.

Dru-Zod turned toward the glowing system screen.

"System."

"Yes, Host?"

"Where is Atlantis?"

The answer appeared instantly.

---

Location: Hidden pocket dimension

Status: Ready for deployment

Activation Command: Authorized

---

Dru's eyes gleamed.

"Perfect."

He whispered quietly.

"Let's begin."

Because the future of Krypton…

Had just changed forever.

And ten years from now—

When Krypton finally exploded—

Dru-Zod would not be there to watch it die.

He would already be somewhere else.

Somewhere far beyond this galaxy.

Preparing to build the first true Kryptonian empire.

Among entirely new stars.
