Chapter 128 - Chapter 128: No One Told Me There Would Be This Kind of Side Effect!

In the empty top-floor office, only Peter and Maria Hill remained.

The atmosphere became a bit subtle for a moment.

"Don't be nervous, Agent Hill."

Peter reached out and pressed his hand on Hill's shoulder. As the horse talisman exerted its power, a soft white light instantly enveloped Hill's body.

Having her body touched by a stranger, Hill appeared a bit stiff at first.

But as the healing power of the horse talisman spread throughout her body, that deep healing at the cellular level caused her body to quickly relax.

She even couldn't help but let out a somewhat embarrassing sound from her throat.

The moment she heard this sound, before Peter could even react, Agent Hill lowered her head in embarrassment.

Making such a shameful sound in front of a young superior—no matter how she thought about it, it felt too strange!

But Peter didn't take the opportunity to take advantage of her; he decisively withdrew his hand as soon as the healing was finished.

This gentlemanly conduct made Agent Hill look at him with even more respect.

"Agent Hill, your healing is complete. Next, I need you to help me resolve some small troubles."

As Peter spoke, he took out Nick Fury's eyeball and stated his intention to check the Core Intelligence Database.

Hill looked at the eyeball, then at Peter's half-smiling face, and a conflicted expression couldn't help but appear on her face.

Peter's request was reasonable, but for Hill herself, this matter was somewhat of a hot potato.

After all, if Nick Fury ever made a comeback and found out she had helped Peter open the Core Intelligence Database... with Nick Fury's pettiness, she would definitely be in trouble for it.

However, after a brief hesitation, considering Peter's favor of healing her, she ultimately chose to "act officially":

"Director, please follow me."

What Hill didn't know was that her decision had quietly helped her avert a crisis.

In fact, Peter didn't need Hill at all; he could easily find Nick Fury's secret intelligence database using the power of the Byakugan.

The reason he did this was to test Hill's level of loyalty to Nick Fury.

It seemed now that Hill had clearly not been brainwashed into a die-hard loyalist by Nick Fury.

Using Nick Fury's eyeball, Peter quickly opened all the secret intelligence databases and changed all the verification methods to his own iris information.

After roughly browsing through the contents, Peter took out two files; one was intelligence regarding Howard Stark.

The other was intelligence regarding the Winter Soldier.

Peter didn't plan to watch Tony fall into a desperate situation and then hand over the information on the new element to win him over like in the original story.

He especially didn't want Tony and Captain America to fall into that predicament of turning against each other again, so he planned to lay everything out from the start.

Besides these two files, Peter also went to the Classified Storage Room and took something out.

A silver metallic cylinder codenamed "0-8-4".

Commonly known as the "Obelisk"!

The terrigen crystals contained within this thing were the key item to help Skye become Quake.

After becoming the Director of S.H.I.E.L.D., Peter still decided to recruit Skye into S.H.I.E.L.D.

That girl's ability would be a total waste if she just stayed at Parker Tech as a cybersecurity Director.

S.H.I.E.L.D. was her best destination.

When the time came, he could directly let Hill act as Skye's mentor.

Given Hill's abilities, she should be able to teach Skye exceptionally well; at the same time, this was a secret means to quietly pull Hill onto his side.

After finishing all this, Peter took Hill and Tony back to New York.

After letting Hill handle the relevant affairs at the S.H.I.E.L.D. New York Branch, Peter, who had been busy all day, bid farewell to Hill and returned to Queens on his flying skateboard... Because it was already two or three in the morning, Peter didn't go home immediately but first ran to Gwen's house.

As expected, Gwen, full of doubts, was currently tossing and turning on her small bed.

Just as Peter climbed in through the window, Gwen felt Peter's presence and sat up from the bed all at once:

"Peter, you're finally back. You have no idea how much I want to say to you... Mmph~"

Before Gwen could finish her sentence, Peter had already blocked her mouth. About a minute later, he spoke while panting slightly:

"Don't be in a hurry, I'll tell you everything bit by bit... Before that, take a look at the gift I prepared for you."

As Peter spoke, he activated the little broken watch on his left wrist.

Symbiote Mode, 100% mimicry, activate!

As Peter pressed the little broken watch, he instantly transformed into a humanoid Symbiote.

The strange form and terrifying power caused the Spider-Sense in Gwen's brain to issue a frantic warning.

"Is this... an existence similar to Radiation? Where did you get it?" Gwen couldn't help but ask.

"The reason I rushed back to Brooklyn so late was for this thing."

As Peter spoke, he manipulated his Symbiote body to begin asexual reproduction.

*Squish*~

Before long, a fragment of the Symbiote detached from Peter's body.

Peter also felt a strong sense of weakness because of this.

However, this weakness had just arisen when it was quickly dispelled by the horse talisman.

Gwen watched as that Symbiote fragment crawled into her palm and then suddenly burrowed into her flesh and disappeared.

"Huh? Where did it go?"

Just as Gwen was feeling at a loss, she suddenly sensed a strange power surging from within her body.

That feeling was as if her strength had suddenly increased several times over.

She subconsciously looked down and saw that on her body, which she had already washed clean, a black and white symbiote suit had appeared at some unknown time.

"This feeling... mmph~"

Before Gwen could carefully feel the changes in this power, her peripheral vision caught sight of Peter.

And then, she completely couldn't look away.

The love that was already surging in her heart turned into intense pheromones as the Symbiote integrated.

This intense physiological attraction caused the love in her eyes to almost solidify; she instinctively squeezed her legs together while simultaneously developing a strong impulse toward Peter.

Once the thought of "you and I are one" arose, it could no longer be restrained.

In this moment, whatever her father and grandmother had cautioned...

Whatever self-imposed restriction about waiting until at least 20 before officially "giving it away" was all thrown to the back of her mind.

Gwen felt that there was nothing left in her mind except Peter.

She pounced on Peter almost instinctively, then sniffed the scent on him like a greedy puppy.

Following that, she broke through the originally set bottom lines step by step, repeatedly drawing primal power from Peter with increasing intensity... At this moment, Peter's mind went blank.

He really hadn't expected that splitting the Symbiote could produce such a side effect.

To be precise, this couldn't even be considered a side effect.

The Symbiote would naturally amplify the host's inner desires, plus Gwen's Symbiote was originally a part split off from his own body.

Being unable to wait to get close to him was inherently a kind of biological instinct similar to the Imprinting Effect.

After realizing this, Peter, who was pinned to the floor by Gwen, couldn't help but be between laughter and tears, and then without thinking, he canceled the Symbiote's mimicry mode.

Some things could be done immediately, but they definitely couldn't start in the form of a Symbiote; otherwise... the lineage would get all messed up!
