A dragon tattoo on his neck.
The man opens his eyes.
Kai tilts his head slightly to the side.

KAI

SEIRYŪ

Two guards approach and open the door.

The man crashes into the wall and slides along it.
Ryon picks up the spear from the ground and hurls it at the retreating guard.
RYON
Hit!
More footsteps.
Screams.
A door at the end of the corridor.
KAI
That way!

Ivory troops pour down from the upper gallery.

Valen's voice echoes.

Kai stops.

Before… there was only one man who could hold out against four of us.
(Pause)
And you… you're not him.
Kai's lips tremble slightly.
His LEFT EYE (Nethra) begins to throb.
A greenish glow.
FLASHBACK - FAST, CHOPPY
A man in a RED CAPE, clad in massive armor.
Two massive swords on his back.
His face is in shadow, but his POSTURE says it all:
DEATH.
PRESENT
Kai bites his lip.
His voice is low, but it echoes THROUGHOUT THE CORRIDOR:
KAI
It's not me.
(At that moment, he looks into Valen's eyes)
That's why... I'm not fighting alone.
INSTANT.
SEIRYŪ appears from the left side of the corridor.
Not his KATANA—he hurls his CHAIN.
The chain cuts through the air, heading toward Valen's head.
VALEN raises his arm at the last moment.
CLANG!
The chain strikes Valen's arm armor.
The armor SHATTERS.
Metal shards fly everywhere.
Valen takes a step back.
A look of SURPRISE crosses his face for the first time.
Behind Kai, THREE SILHOUETTES suddenly appear:
SHIZUREN—A KATANA on her back, a still-bloody GUARD'S HEAD in her hand.
That terrifying, maniacal grin on her face.
RYON—Rifle on his shoulder, trigger finger ready.
His eyes are ANALYTICAL, calculating every move.
SEIRYŪ - Chain pulled back, ready to draw his katana.
The eyes beneath his mask are ICE-COLD.
RYON
(Aims the barrel of his rifle at Valen)
The trigger's already pulled, Valen.
The math is simple:
You're 1.
We are 4.
Shizuren slams the guard's head to the ground.
It makes a "BAM" sound.
SHIZUREN
(Grumbling)
I opened the door.
If you want, I'll open your head too.
Seiryū takes a step toward Kai.
He gestures with his hand:

Take your hat. Your sword.
And...
(His eyes drift to the shattered six-shooters on the ground)

Kai bends down slowly.
He picks up his hat. Wipes the dust off it. Puts it back on.
Then, he draws the sword from the soldier's belt next to Valen—
the sword he took from Ithrien.
Kai spins the sword in the air.
Then he turns to Valen.

(His voice takes on a DANGEROUSly low tone)

(His eyes drift to the Ivory Wardens' soldiers)
...you and those three corpses.
A SMILE appears on Valen's face.
But this smile is ANGRY, RESPECTFUL, and DANGEROUS.
VALEN

There's what I've been waiting for.
Aurelia and Ithrien join them.
Malrec approaches from the other end of the corridor.
KAI
(To his team, without taking his eyes off Valen)
The plan is simple.
Run to the exit.
I'll keep them occupied.
SHIZUREN
(Immediately)

Ryon pulls the trigger. BAM!
The bullet grazes Malrec's shoulder, shattering his armor. But Malrec doesn't stop. His fingers wrap around Ryon's rifle, beginning to CORRODE THE METAL—corrosion spreading like black veins.
RYON (cool-headed)
Data: Organic shadow manipulation. Weakness: No light, is there a shadow?
Ryon presses a small device at his waist. A SUDDEN FLASH OF WHITE LIGHT. A mini flash.
Malrec screams, his eyes blazing. The shadow fingers retreat.
Ryon seizes the moment. He strikes Malrec's jaw with the butt of his rifle. CLACK! Malrec collapses to the ground.
SHIZUREN vs AURELIA
Aurelia swings her PALE MERCY spear at Shizuren. Shizuren meets it with her KATANA. Steel clashes, sparks fly.
AURELIA
You're filthy! You'll be purified!
SHIZUREN (grinning)
Everyone who's tried to wash me... DROWNED.
Shizuren's HANDS are wrapped in rotten energy. She touches the spear's shaft. Aurelia's spear suddenly begins to RUST and ROT. Aurelia recoils in shock.
But Aurelia doesn't give up. She raises her hand. A WHITE LIGHT HALO forms. The corrupted energy VANISHES in the light, hissing.
AURELIA
The sacred flame will purify you!
The halo of light expands toward Shizuren. Shizuren squints, growling in pain. Her corrupted energy fades. But then... SHE SMILES.
SHIZUREN
Light? Nice.
Because I am... DARKNESS.
Shizuren gathers all the corrupted energy, forming a BLACK SPHERE in her palm. And she... DRIVES IT INTO HER OWN CHEST.
Aurelia is stunned: "What—?"
The corrupted energy EXPLODES inside Shizuren, but it doesn't destroy her—it MERGE WITH HER. Shizuren's eyes turn COMPLETELY BLACK. Shadows gather around her. The halo of light FADES.
Shizuren takes a step toward Aurelia. Her voice is MULTILAYERED, ECHOING:

Now... who is cleansing whom?
KAI vs VALEN | SEIRYŪ vs ITHRIEN
Kai and Valen are sword to sword. Every strike is a DEATH WARRANT. Valen is heavy, powerful, disciplined. Kai is fast, clever, deadly.
VALEN
Why are you running, Shadow? Are you afraid to fight?
KAI (out of breath, mockingly)
No. I'm bored. You... YOU'RE TOO SLOW.
Kai suddenly shifts into his shadow form. Valen's sword passes through his shadow body. Kai solidifies again, appears BEHIND VALEN, and tries to drive his sword into Valen's back.
Valen turns at the last moment and parries with his sword. But Kai's sword CUTS through Valen's arm armor. Blood seeps out.
VALEN (smiling through the pain)
There... A little courage.
On the other side, SEIRYŪ and ITHRIEN.
Ithrien's mechanical wings unfold; his feathers transform into METAL BLADES. He flaps his wings, unleashing a rain of blades.
Seiryū forms a SHIELD with his katana and chain. The blades scatter in all directions. Then, Seiryū throws the CHAIN. The chain wraps around Ithrien's wing JOINT.
SEIRYŪ
The dragon... breaks its wing.
Seiryū pulls the chain. Ithrien's wing bends with a CRACK. Ithrien screams in pain and falls to the ground.
But Ithrien doesn't give up. While on the ground, he launches a METAL FEATHER from his wing. The feather pierces Seiryū's shoulder.
Seiryū growls in pain, but he doesn't back down. He raises his katana and advances toward Ithrien.
FOUR BATTLES AT ONCE.
Ryon has neutralized Malrec.
Shizuren is suffocating Aurelia in darkness.
Seiryū is on top of Ithrien.
Kai is fighting Valen.
And just then—
DOZENS MORE IVORY SOLDIERS come running from the OTHER END OF THE CORRIDOR. Screams, the clatter of weapons.
RYON (shouts)
WE'RE OUT OF TIME! GET OUT! NOW!
Kai lands one final blow on Valen, pushing him back. He turns to his team.
KAI
RYON'S RIGHT! LET'S GO!
Shizuren pins Aurelia to the wall with a burst of corrupted energy. Seiryū lands a final blow on Ithrien's wing core.
THE FOUR dash out through the OPEN DOOR at the end of the corridor. Just as Valen and Aurelia catch up— the SHADOW OWL glides down from the roof. It drips black liquid onto Ithrien's wing core. Ithrien stumbles.
Kai sees his chance.
KAI
NOW!
The FOUR launch a final attack. But— the sound of RUNNING FEET in the distance. Dozens of torches. The entire garrison is coming.
KAI (YELLING)
COME ON! TEAM, LET'S GO!
The Shadow Owl descends. All four leap onto its back. They take off.
**EXT. SKY - NIGHT**
KAI
Anyone injured? Anything serious?
They all say "no." The Owl glides toward the darkness of the Lower District.
