Chapter 122 - absolute karma

Karma stood on a floating rock after his laughter subsided, multiplying his eyes into the millions before declaring that the entire world would witness his end. Every entity across the cosmos watched the battle unfold as Karma reminisced with a chuckle, asking if Aryus remembered the tournament of worlds. Aryus rose from the ground, informed by the system that he was inside a custom dimension created by Karma where the latter could manipulate everything without limits. When Aryus asked what that meant, the system explained that the minimum feat possible was the creation of infinite universes, surpassing the foundational logic of the ten worlds themselves. Aryus laughed, remarking that the scoundrel turned out to be decent with good tricks, though he had his own, asking who Karma was talking to and whether fear had driven him mad.

Far away in the council chambers, Pablo stared at the screen asking if that was Karma and who he was fighting, while Nahira smiled and revealed it was Aryus, adding that she was a core part of the plan to eliminate Karma and told everyone to enjoy the show. Clarisse watched the live broadcast from a planet, wondering where Aryus was, while screens lit up across the universes. Dazai paused mid-journey in shock, and Silas and others caught in clashes with destruction rulers caught sight of the broadcast. Remus stepped forward in utter disbelief as Aryus's image appeared on his pupiled eyes, cursing the day he would vanish from his life. Wang and Lena stared at the screen on their planet, with Lena screaming Aryus's name while Wang noted it was Master Karma's special broadcast, wondering why he would reveal that Aryus was still alive.

Aryus asked Karma what the eyes and their location were all about. Karma grinned maliciously, explaining they were inside the only place where a king is a king and an insect is an insect, devoid of laws or rules save for Karma's own will. Offering a merciful handicap, Karma told Aryus to land three hits, and if he managed to kill him, he would win. Aryus flew at hyper-speed and delivered a devastating punch that sent Karma bleeding far away, though Karma merely laughed as his wounds healed instantly. Angered, Aryus struck him repeatedly in the abdomen and unleashed countless explosive blasts that incinerated the surrounding space.

As the smoke cleared, a charred and deformed Karma instantly regenerated back to normal, leaving Aryus momentarily shocked. Karma taunted him for using up his luck, sending a clone to grab Aryus from behind while channeling blue energy into a devastating blow that triggered shockwaves across the vast cosmic expanse, leaving Aryus gasping and immobilized. Counting down the time, Karma mocked him, but Aryus's eyes suddenly flashed with the power of Arusa, generating an explosion that blew Karma and his clone back. Aryus's eyes turned a mint green as he realized his eyes could copy Karma's movements, counters, and speed, allowing him to effortlessly surpass anything Karma threw at him.

Aryus headbutted Karma away, charged a Nycipher strike, and blasted him into ashes, only for Karma to regenerate once more and mock Aryus's futility. Karma then manipulated gravity, raising it first slightly, then a billionfold, ten billionfold, five hundred billionfold, and finally infinitely. Though Aryus felt the crushing weight—experiencing four octillion units of power against Karma's two octillion—his rigorous training in Dark's system dimensions ensured he had no weaknesses. Karma boasted that power alone was useless since he could erase the very concepts of defeat, pain, and death from himself.

In retaliation, Aryus summoned his entire army to attack, but Karma simply willed all energy out of existence, stripping Aryus of his power. Karma opened a fissure into the ground containing infinite universes set to explode upon entry, alongside reality-warping dimensions designed to torture Aryus forever. Instead of retreating, Aryus grabbed Karma and dragged him down into the falling abyss. Universe after universe shattered around them without scratching Aryus, prompting Karma to attempt to strip away Aryus's durability, only to find it completely ineffective.

Calmly declaring that they were inside his domain now, Aryus unleashed the Void Domain, a massive transparent sphere that nullified all of Karma's abilities and powers. Following it with the Dissection Domain and the End Domain, Aryus trapped Karma inside an inescapable curse from which there was no return. Karma panicked, demanding the domain be erased, but nothing worked. Aryus explained that the system had granted him a new S-rank ability called Inverse Cause, which ensured that any technique, damage, or attack he suffered would never affect him a second time.

Realizing his realm of worlds had been completely erased by the expanding End Domain and that his energy was locked out by the void, Karma turned and fled in terror as the domain began consuming everything into absolute nothingness. Begging for his life, Karma offered to become a servant and kiss Aryus's feet, prompting chuckles from the watching elders. Aryus coldly replied that he had never considered Karma a friend, and told him to go to hell, before wiping Karma from existence with a final gesture as his body disintegrated into nothingness.

The screens clicked off, leaving the viewers in stunned silence. The elders praised Aryus's utility, while Nahira smiled in admiration of his cold ruthlessness. In Zero World, Remus clenched his fists in fury. Dazai pondered if Aryus was truly the innocent person he once knew, while Lena and Clarisse reacted with shock across their respective worlds. Izola begged Elaria to take her to Aryus immediately, and Elaria agreed since the immediate danger had passed.

Elsewhere, Aryus emerged to find Dark standing over a bound and unconscious Mithos, while Zaikors stood nearby with blood on his teeth. When Aryus asked if he ate him, Zaikors replied that he looked quite tasty, especially his fair skin. Aryus chuckled, then ordered Dark to revive Mithos. Seated on a floating rock, Aryus watched the moon as Dark splashed water on Mithos and healed him. Mithos knelt before Aryus, confessing his deep admiration and begging to become his servant.

Mithos explained that nine years ago, Aryus had saved his people and planet from a rogue faction attempting to shrink their world into a pickle jar using a weapon called the Grokata. Recognizing the memory, Aryus acknowledged the event and noted his people had even set up a national day in his honor. Though initially reluctant to take on followers due to his nomadic lifestyle, Aryus agreed on the condition that Mithos undergo strict training under Dark in an isolated dimension, promising to spar with him when the time was right. Dark bowed and vanished with Mithos. Turning to Zaikors, Aryus remarked on how exaggerated his acting had been during the battle with Karma, noting that attacks which would have killed him years ago now felt like mere pinpricks, leaving him to wonder whether he was evolving or the world was simply growing weaker.
