The Day of the visiting in laws

It was the day of both my mother and Monty's folks visit at the pizza plex and as I was slowly getting up out of bed to look at my Faz watch to check the time, til I just received a call from her letting me know that she'll meet me at work in half an hour. After I had got off the phone with her, I rolled over to wake Monty up but noticed he wasn't there til I heard the sound of running water coming from the bathroom. Then, sure enough, out came Monty to gather his clothes for the day and said, " bathroom is open if ya'h wanna get bathed up and ready b'fore ya'h motha gets here" he stated as he was getting himself ready.
" I'll head over t'a tha kitchen n' get some breakfast ready n' prepare a nice lunch fer when she arrives while ya'h get ready t'a greet her" he suggested. " Good Idea, beau"! I replied. " Alright, I'll come n' get ya'h when it's ready" he said sweetly. " Sounds perfect" I replied in turn. " Kay, be right back" he said before kissing me on the cheek then left to prepare breakfast and lunch for mom's visit. Then, I quickly hopped into the shower, got cleaned up and dressed, hair groomed and teeth brushed. Then by the time I've finished up, I started tidying Monty's room because you can never know when incase if we decided to hang in here, my mother would prefer a cleaner view. I received a text from my mom saying, " I'm here"! I replied back via text " be right there"!
By the time I finished texting my mother, Monty comes in stating, " brunch is ready"! " awesome, mom's here"! I stated in turn. " are ya'h ready t'a rock n' roll, doll"? he asked. " just about ready as ready can be"! I replied with a confident smile on my face. with that, we made our way to the main lobby to meet with my mother. "are you ready to meet your new mother in law"? I asked him. "yeah" he said as he switched into his humanoid form, and so we were on our way.
"Nelly"! I heard my mother called me. "It's so good to see you, sweetheart" she said. " Is your fiancée here"? she asked. "Yeah, actually he is" I said in turn. then Monty steps out of the kitchen carrying a tray with three coffee mugs filled with coffee, bowl of mixed berries and benights. " Oh, my, this is lovely"! my mother replied. " Hello, M'a name is Montgomery, pleasure t'a meet ya'h ma'am" Monty stated as he introduced himself to her. " So, you're the young man that's engaged to my darling daughter"?! she said in surprise.
" Yes, ma'am, I am" he answered in turn. " So, how long have you been seeing my little girl before asking her hand in marriage"? she asked. " three months b'fore askin her and almost a month after askin her" he said. " I see" she said as if calculating and mentally checking off her check list. " how did you and nelly meet exactly"? she asked. " we've met on the job" he stated as my eyes widen at the response he gave my mother.
" Oh, you work here as well, what do you do as a profession"? she asked curiously. "Oh, well, I'm a musician and bass player fer a band that I play in" he replied. " Oh, my, first my daughter finds not only a handsome, young man but one that cooks, works and so well polite too'! my mom says. " Thank ya'h ma'am" he replied in turn. " So, nelly, where are the children"? she asked.
" they're with Eddie and the others" Monty replied. " Yes, they should be on their way any minute now" I replied as well. " of course, dear, there's plenty of time for the children to see their grandma" she said. " I mainly came to find out about the young man who stole my daughter's heart" she said. " so, tell me more about yourself, Montgomery" she replied looking at Monty. " Please , call me Monty, ma'am" he said in turn. " Very well, Monty" she replied in turn. then she turned to look at me and whispered," I'd say he's a keeper, dear" she noted with a wink.
I couldn't help but smiled at the thought that everything was going well because the next thing I heard my mother asked was a topic that I had hoped to avoid. " By the way sweetheart, I had heard your ex was working here as well" " he was but he won't be coming back, that's fer sure"! Monty cut in on the conversation. " how so"? she asked inquiring with curiosity. " you see, mother, the thing is"" the thing is mom , the guy only took the job to keep harassing and stalking her while even on the job"! Eddie chimed in as he, the kids and the others came over and joined in.
" Everyone, this is my mother Len, mom, this is Freddy, Chica, Roxanne, bonnie, meowlody, her twin purrsephone, foxy and mangle, they're Monty's bandmates" I said. " a pleasure to meet you ma'am" they all replied at once. " Oh, my, the pleasure is all mine" she said in turn. " And these are also my friends/next-door neighbors Charlie, her fiancée Vinnie, throttle and modo" I finished. " Nice to meet you, Mrs. Frances" Charlie replied. " It's nice to meet you as well dear," she said in turn. " Grandma"! the kids exclaimed in excitement upon seeing their grandmother.
" There are my adorable grandchildren" she sweetly replied upon seeing the children. " we've missed you, grandma" Danny says to her. " I've missed you both as well, sweetie" she said . " Hi grandma"! lily called out. " why hello, lily, look how big you've gotten " my mother replied. " I'm eight years old and a big girl now"! lily said excitedly. " I see, and a very big girl indeed, you look just like your mother when she was your age" she said and lily squealed, " really"? " very" she said in turn.
"So, tell me children, what do you think of your mother and mister Montgomery"? my mom asked. " mister Monty is very nice, he treats mommy like a princess, he's super fun and he reminds me of "daddy" lily says adorably. " yeah, Monty is the nicest, coolest, most fun guy you'll ever meet, grandma, he's very protective over mom and us" Danny replied as well. " Believe me mom, if it wasn't for Monty and all of our friends, things could've been worse and the important thing is he is doing time for a longtime in Cali and everyone is safe and sound" Eddie replied.
" Well, after everything I have seen, heard and witnessed here, I can clearly see that my daughter and grandchildren are very well looked after in good hands if I do say so myself" my mother replied. " Thank ya'h very much fer tha sentiment ma'am" Monty replied in turn. " Now Monty, you may as well start calling me mom, on behalf of my late husband, may he rest in peace, I hereby give you my blessing to marry my daughter" she finished. " Thank ya'h , ma" he replied with a flashy smile. " Nelly dear, don't lose this one" she whispered to me with a playful wink.
" gotcha" I replied. " when's the big day"? she asked. " daddy's birthday" I said. " Oh, sweetheart" she started to say. " Before you say anything, I thought of it as a way to honor him as Eddie steps in for him to walk me down the aisle and give me away" I explained. " Very well, I'd think he'd like that very much" she said. " Well, I better get going, I totally forgot I have to run some errands down at the grocery store, so I'll be expecting an invitation along with you, Monty, Eddie and the children accept my invitation to dinner, my treat" she replied happily.
" Of course, mother" I replied back. " Well, it was good to see you again, dear and the children, Monty it was an extreme pleasure to have met you and gotten to know you and thank you for the lovely brunch" she said kissing Monty on the cheek and poor Monty flushed like a red pepper. " Uh, shucks ma'am, I mean ma" he replied bashfully. " Montgomery, are ya'h flushing at my mom"?! I stated playfully " nah, doll, just yew" he winked back. " Alright, I believe you, beau" I said in turn. " Aww, such cute pt names" mom spoke once more before saying bye and left.
After the meeting with my mom went surprisingly well, Monty and I decided to head to the lounge area to spark up a blunt for a bit before getting ready to meet Monty's family. " So, what do you think of your soon to be mother-in-law"? I asked after taking three hits off the blunt before I'd passed it to him. " She seems nice and between tha kids n' ya'h brotha, I think ya'h motha likes me"! he stated.
" I should think so" I replied in turn. " Now, we just gotta get through meetin m'a folks t'night" he replied back. " So, do you think family will like me too"? I asked with curiosity. " Even if they don't, they won't have much o' a choice" he said with a playful yet serious wink. I couldn't help but laugh at the sweet statement. " Aww, love you, gator beau"! I said kissing his cheek. " Love ya'h too, Cher" he cooed back.
" Well, since you've treated mom to brunch, maybe I could whip up something for dinner for your family when they get here" I volunteered. " that's really sweet o' ya'h, Cher, but ya'h don't have t'a " he replied. " I think it's only fair and besides I'd like for them to get to know me too" I made a point and he decided not to debate the matter. " alright, but only if ya'h let me help, besides I wanna be tha first t'a finally taste ya'h cookin , it'd just won't be fair if anyone else tries it b'fore I's do "he stated.
" Aww, if I had known you'd like to try my cooking before, I'd made something for you, but at least tonight is as good any to sample some" I replied. " true" he said in turn. " What did ya'h plan t'a make"? he asked. " I was considering possibly my dad's chili and mom's cheesy corn cakes to go with it" I suggested. " Well, fortunately, m'a folks happen t'a like that very dish" he stated. " Perfect" I replied back. so, we got to work prepping the food for dinner and company coming to dinner.
Later that evening....

It was almost seven on the dot when I had just gotten a message from my folks saying they along with papa were on their way. I turn to look at nelly and said, " ya'h ready t'a shine, rockstar"? " Yeah, for the most part" she said in turn. " Good, cause they're almost here" I stared. " Well, I better get all clean up and looking my best before then and while I'm at it, I'll have Eddie bring the children as well" she added. " Kay, don't be king" I called out to her. " No problem, beau" she called back. soon there was a knock on the door, I went to answer it and saw it was just Eddie and the kids in their best wear.
" Are we late for dinner, mommy"? lily asked sweetly. " I's say ya'h came fairly early, lil lady" I said to her admiring the adorable white and blue dress she was wearing. I escorted the three of them inside to wait for nelly and the rest of our guest to arrive. Then, came another knock on the door, I yet again went to answer it and sure enough, there stood my ma, pa, and papa with smiles on their faces. " Monty"! my parents called out. " Momo" my papa called as well. " Ma, pa, papa, y'all here"! I shouted with excitement, " of course we are, Momo, when we heard that you were engaged to be married, we all came as fast as we did to be part of this beautiful and wonderful moment of your life, so here we are"! papa said.
"Speaking of which, is she here, son"? my ma asked curiously. " Yes, she is" I replied. "Well, let's meet her N' are her children here as well"? pa asked. " They are along with her brotha, their uncle" I added. "Well, let's meet 'em, ooh, mmm, I do believe I smell somethin delicious, is that dinner"? the three of them asked. " Why, yes, my fiancée made t'night's meal for all o' us" I answered proudly. " Why, hello there" we all looked over to see nelly all done up in a casual dark purple, sleeveless dress and calf length heeled boots.
" Ma, pa, N' papa, this is nelly Frances, m'a fiancée, Nelly, this is m'a ma, pa, N' papa" I started introducing them to each other. " It's a pleasure to meet you all" Nelly replied ever sweetly. " Oh my, such a sweet N' charming, young lady she is, son" my ma replied in turn. " Thank you very much, ma'am" Nelly answered back. " And very polite too" Ma added. "Come on in, y'all N' sit a while" I finished as nelly and I let my folks in the door of my room where Eddie, Danny, and Lily were standing by the couch. " Mr. and Mrs. Gator, papa, this is my brother, Eddie along with my children, Danny and Lily" Nelly stated. " A pleasure to meet you" the three of them said at the same time. " Likewise, I'm sure" Ma replied.
" Ya'h lil ones are so adorable" papa voiced in. " Thank you" Nelly replied back with a smile on her face. " Monty here's tellin us that you'd made dinner"? pa asked in turn, " That I did, chilli and cheesy corn cake, based on a family recipe passed down by my parents" Nelly said beaming with pride. " MMM, well, it definitely smells wonderful" they both stated. So, the eight of us all sat on the couch when suddenly, papa spoke up and said, " Oh by the way, Momo, I have brought some gifts for you and your lovely bride along with gifts for my soon to be great grandkids" " That's very thoughtful o' ya'h , papa" I said in surprise.
" Aww, how very sweet of you, thank you" "Thank you"! both of the kids replied. " you're very welcome, lil ones and don't be shy to call " grand papa" papa replied in turn. Then Nelly and I looked at our gifts, I was given a long, silver chain with a half heart pendant with a photograph of both papa and Mamaw on their wedding day and Nelly received a pearl necklace that looked too familiar to the ones " Mamaw" used to wear since their wedding day. " Oh, my, it's beautiful"! she said. " These were Momo's Mamaw's that she had worn since the day we were wed and now, yours" he finished.
" Thank you very much, papa" I said in turn hugging him. " Your very welcome, Momo, I sincerely hope and wish you both happiness and joy on your big day" Then Nelly turn to me and said, " I'll go and fetch dinner, beau" "alright, Cher" I said in turn kissing her cheek before she and Eddie headed towards the kitchen. " Oh, son, she seems like a lovely young lady" Ma says to me. " Yep, she sure is" I replied back proudly. " So, how did the two of ya'h meet exactly"? pa asked. " On the job, she's the dayshift security guard and head mechanic" I stated. "Oh, I see" he replied back.
"So, Momo, how are things"? papa asked. " They been great, Infact, not long afta I had proposed t'a nelly most o' m'a friends Freddy, Foxy and Bonnie are gettin hitched as well" I explained. " Oh, that's wonderful, son, you have such nice friends, a lovely fiancée and two such adorable youngins" Ma chimed in. " I know, Ma" I replied back. " Well, yer ma is right and if even I may say so m'a self, we all think she's wonderful, son and we are very proud o' ya'h" pa said finishing his statement. "Thanks, ma N' pa " I said in turn.
Soon, Nelly and Eddie had return from the kitchen and began serving the food. Then we all sat down to eat, and I can tell from the expressions on their faces, they were really impressed with nelly's cooking for my ma says, " Oh my nelly, this dish is amazing, I may have to borrow your recipe sometime" she said. " Absolutely, I'd be happy to share the recipe with you, Mrs. gator" Nelly replied. " Now Nelly Hun, we're bout to become family soon enough, so please, think o' us as kin now, call me ma, him pa and papa" she said sweetly. " of course, ma" Nelly spoke in turn. " Aww, aren't ya'h just a peach" ma says.
" Well, it's gettin a tad late and we better head back soon" pa replied. " Perhaps they can stay for the night since it'll be easier to travel back in the daylight" Nelly suggested. " Are ya'h sure, Cher"? I asked curiously. " Absolutely, plus this would allow me and the children to get to know your family more" she said in turn. " Well, as long as ya'h sure, love" I replied. " Well, that's mighty kind of you, dear, we'd be delighted"! both ma and pa stated. With that being said, we started getting everything situated for my folks and papa to get settled in for the evening. I had them all settled in one of the guestrooms. " Feel free t'a call us if ya'h need anythin" I replied. " Absolutely, thank you, son" Ma replied as she kissed my cheek. " Aww, Ma"! I yiped with embarrassment as my face turned red.
"Oh, and son, don't lose her" she replied sweetly. " Indeed, Momo, I sense good vibes with this one" papa chimed in. " he's right son" says pa " we're just so proud o' ya'h, sweetie, first a successful musician and now our baby boy rockstar is gettin married"! 🥹 Ma replied with happy tears in her eyes. " Well, g'dnight, son" Pa says hugging me. "g'dnight, y'all, see y'all N' tha mornin" I replied in turn before Nelly and I turned to leave towards my room, " late night toke r and r"? nelly asked suggestedly. " Sounds great, babe" I replied sweetly.
" I'll have Eddie help get the kids settled in" she said. " Kay, sweets" I said in turn. with that, she walked over towards Eddie. he of course, agreed to help get the lil ones to bed. Then she and Eddie cleared the dinnerware and headed toward the kitchen. " Be right back, beau" she says kissing me on my snout " alright, be careful" I called to her. After the kids had gone to bed, Eddie came back with a message from nelly for me to meet her by the hot tub and trust me, I could've gotten there fast enough and rushed into my swimwear while in my animatronic form.
Then as I approached closer towards the pool area, I began to hear what sounded like singing, like that of a mermaid's voice. I stepped closer and there was nelly, in the water in her mermaid gear. The sound of the music she was singing to sure enough was listed under " mermaid music". I slowly made my way in the water in hope to sneak surprise her, then she turned her head to check her surroundings, but I've managed to hide myself well before she would've spotted me.
Then, as soon as she turned away from me, I slowly inched closer and closer til I was directly behind her, wrapping my arms around her. " I've been meanin t'a tell ya'h such a lovely voice" I said sweetly. " Ever since I was young" she cooed back. " Care t'a sing fer me some more, m'a fair sea maiden" I replied. Then, with a seductive wink, she hit play on the song " siren's call"

" Shall we watch a movie t'night with a nice midnight snack b'fore bed"? I asked suggestedly.
" Sounds lovely" she replied back. " tha usual"? I asked with a knowing wink. "perfect" she said. " What film shall we watch this time"? I asked in turn. " Hmm, how about " sleeping beauty"? I suggested. " Yeah, plus this'll give me a chance t'a know why this is ya'h favorite princess" I replied playfully. " Heh, sure" she said teasingly. with that, I carefully lifted her up and carried her back towards our room bridal style and placed her on our bed then turn to her and says, " wanna take a bath while I get tha goods fer our movie t'night"? I asked before leaving out the door. " Sounds nice, beau, thank you" she cooed sweetly. " Kay, I'll be right back" I said as I kissed her lips upon exiting the room.
Twenty-five minutes later....
I made it back with everything for our movie night and as always, we snuggled close together and enjoy our evening snack and film before we'd called it a night. I looked over to her as I held her in my arms and says, " ya'h know, every time I'm with ya'h, I feel like tha happiest, luckiest animatronic gator in tha world" " I feel the same, Monty, every time I spent with you" she whispered in turn. I couldn't help but giggle a little when I noticed that she had a little bit of hot fudge syrup at the corner of her lips.
" What's so funny"? she asked curiously. so instead of replying, I just moved my face towards hers and lick the chocolate off the corner of her lips and with her blushing the way she was, it was defiantly hot the way she looked at me. then I moved close to her face again this time to steal a kiss. " What do we do about the food"? she asked. " I think I may have an idea or two" I said flashing a wink. sure enough, we were not only watching and eying in bed, but this time " nuded". soon, it didn't take long til we hit the lights and settle un for the night.
