Long before the birth of Rama, King Dasharatha once fought a fierce battle against powerful enemies (often described as demons/asuras).
Queen Kaikeyi accompanied him to the battlefield.
🛡️ Kaikeyi Saves Dasharatha
During the war:
Dasharatha was seriously wounded and in danger.
The wheel of his chariot became loose and could have caused defeat.
At that critical moment:
Kaikeyi bravely fixed the chariot wheel with her hand
She also drove the chariot away from danger and saved Dasharatha's life
Because of her courage and quick thinking, Dasharatha survived the battle.
🎁 The Two Boons (Vardaan)
After the victory, Dasharatha was very grateful. He said to Kaikeyi:
"Ask for any two wishes (boons), I will grant them."
But Kaikeyi replied:
She would ask for them later when needed.
⚡ Importance of This Event
These two boons later changed the course of the Ramayana:
Kaikeyi used them to:
Send Rama into exile for 14 years
Make Bharata king
🌟 Lesson
This story shows:
Kaikeyi was once brave and loving, not just the cause of exile
One decision (using the boons) can change destiny
