Xavier's POV
"So the private investigator can't find the kid either?" Mario asked, glancing over at me.
I shook my head bitterly. "No. Gavin already tried every trick in his book. The boy is completely off the grid and ccording to him, it looks like Sabrina scrubbed his existence the moment she moved back into the city. Although, I still told him to be on the look out for him."
"That's good, but what the hell are you going to do now?" Mario asked, turning his whole body to face me.
"I have no idea," I admitted, my voice tight with a rare sense of helplessness that I absolutely hated feeling. "The wedding is going to start any moment from now, and I have no fucking clue if Freddie is my son or how to physically locate him."
Mario let out a low whistle, shaking his head as he held the frayed edges of the paper. "This is serious, man. If only we got this envelope early enough, we would have had plenty of time to figure things out and track the kid down before today."
