I let out a quiet sigh of relief, though I honestly wasn't even sure why I felt relieved, because before leaving the precinct, I was completely hell-bent on barging into that sanctuary like a hurricane and burning the whole ceremony to the ground but now? With Freddie suddenly dragged into the picture, everything had changed.
I needed to find my son and the only person on this planet who could lead me to him was Sabrina. I wasn't entirely sure anymore if making a massive scene and publicly ruining her wedding was the best way to get her to trust me with the boy, or if it would just cause her to run and hide from me for another four years.
"Well, that's good," I told Mario, shaking off my doubts. "Because I have no damn idea if I am even going to find a parking spot quick enough in this circus."
"Hold on, I will go check the side lot for you," Mario offered smoothly.
"Thanks, man. I appreciate it."
