Chapter 4 - Episode 4: “When Obsession Begins to Split the House”

The mansion no longer felt like a home.

It felt like a battlefield where silence was the loudest weapon.

Since the night Rudra Rathore warned Riya Verma, nothing had been normal.

And Aanya Verma could feel it in her bones.

Something was coming.

Something dangerous.

That morning, Aanya was cleaning the grand staircase when she noticed it.

Riya was not behaving like a guest anymore.

She was behaving like she belonged.

Walking freely through the mansion.

Talking to staff.

Observing everything.

Learning everything.

Like she was studying Rudra Rathore himself.

Aanya rushed toward her.

"Riya… please stop this. You don't understand where you are."

Riya didn't even look scared.

Instead, she smiled softly.

"I understand perfectly."

A pause.

"This place belongs to him… and I want what belongs to powerful men."

Aanya's heart tightened.

"That's not love… that's madness."

Riya finally looked at her sister.

And her voice dropped cold.

"Love? No, Aanya."

A faint smile.

"I want survival."

At that exact moment—

Footsteps echoed from the corridor.

Slow. Controlled. Heavy.

Rudra Rathore appeared.

The entire atmosphere shifted instantly.

Even the walls felt it.

Riya straightened her posture immediately… but her eyes didn't lower.

Aanya stepped back instinctively.

But Rudra's gaze wasn't on the mansion.

It was on Riya.

Measuring.

Judging.

Warning.

"You're still here," Rudra said coldly.

Riya smiled.

"You didn't ask me to leave properly."

A dangerous silence followed.

Aanya felt her breath tighten.

Because Rudra's expression… was different today.

Not anger.

Not curiosity.

Something darker.

Something focused.

Then his eyes shifted slightly.

To Aanya.

Just for a second.

But that second was enough.

Aanya froze.

Because she felt it again—

That invisible pull.

That dangerous attention she never asked for.

And now… she wasn't the only one feeling it.

Riya noticed too.

Riya stepped forward slightly.

"I think she matters to you more than you admit," she said softly.

Aanya's eyes widened. "Riya—stop!"

But Rudra didn't react immediately.

He only looked at Riya.

And then slowly said—

"You talk too much."

But silence after that sentence was louder than words.

Because he didn't deny it.

That night…

Aanya was called to Rudra's office.

She entered slowly.

The room was dim.

Only one lamp was on.

Rudra stood near the window, facing outside.

"You brought chaos into my house," he said without turning.

Aanya swallowed hard.

"I didn't… I didn't know she would act like this."

Rudra finally turned.

And walked closer.

Slow. Controlled. Dangerous.

Until he stopped in front of her.

"You always say that," he said quietly.

Aanya lowered her gaze.

"I'm sorry…"

A pause.

Then Rudra spoke again—but this time, his voice was lower.

Different.

"You're too easy to break."

Aanya looked up slightly.

Their eyes met.

And for a second…

everything went still.

The world outside stopped existing.

Only him.

Only her.

Only that dangerous silence between them.

Rudra stepped back slightly.

But his gaze didn't leave her.

"From tomorrow," he said, "you stay inside the main house only."

Aanya blinked.

"Why?"

A pause.

Rudra's expression darkened slightly.

"Because someone in this house has started forgetting their limits."

Outside the room…

Riya stood in the shadows.

Listening.

Smiling faintly.

Because now she knew something important.

She was no longer the only one playing a game here.

And Rudra Rathore…

was already losing control.

Not of his empire.

But of Aanya Verma.
