Chapter 19 - Episode 19: When He Lost Control

The explosion echoed through the forest like a warning from hell.

Kabir Rajvansh stopped mid-step.

Smoke rose from the safe house.

And in that instant… his entire world narrowed down to one thought.

Meera.

His expression changed completely.

Not calm.

Not controlled.

Something darker.

Something dangerous.

"Boss—!" one of his men shouted, but Kabir was already moving.

"Clear the path," he ordered coldly.

His voice was low.

But deadly.

Bullets cracked through the air as his men engaged the attackers outside.

But Kabir didn't care anymore.

He walked straight through the chaos.

Like pain didn't exist.

Like death didn't matter.

Inside the safe house…

Meera Verma was trapped against the wall.

The enemy stood closer now.

Too close.

Smiling like he had already won.

"You see?" he said softly.

"No one is coming in time."

Meera's breathing was uneven.

But her voice didn't break.

"You're wrong…"

A pause.

"…He will come."

The man laughed.

"Faith in a mafia boss?"

He tilted his head.

"That's dangerous."

Suddenly—

A loud crash from downstairs.

The entire house shook.

The man frowned slightly.

"…That was fast."

Meera's eyes widened.

Because she knew that sound.

That presence.

That destruction.

Footsteps.

Heavy.

Fast.

Controlled rage.

The enemy turned toward the stairs.

"Looks like your hero arrived."

Meera's heart pounded.

Not fear.

Relief.

The door behind them exploded open.

Wood shattered.

Light poured into the dark hallway.

And there he was.

Kabir Rajvansh.

His eyes landed on Meera first.

Checking.

Breathing.

Alive.

Only then did he look at the man.

And in that moment…

the temperature in the room dropped.

"You touched what's mine," Kabir said quietly.

No shouting.

No anger.

Just certainty.

The enemy smirked.

"Yours?"

A pause.

"She doesn't even belong to you."

That sentence changed everything.

Kabir moved.

In seconds.

The fight was brutal.

Fast.

Silent.

Controlled rage exploding in motion.

The enemy didn't even get time to react properly.

Meera stood frozen.

Watching him.

Not as a monster.

Not as a mafia boss.

But as a man who had lost all restraint the moment she was threatened.

In seconds, it was over.

The enemy fell back, injured, defeated.

Barely conscious.

Kabir didn't look at him again.

He walked straight toward Meera.

For the first time… his breathing was heavy.

Not from battle.

From fear.

He stopped in front of her.

Eyes scanning her face.

Hands slightly trembling—but hidden.

"…Are you hurt?" he asked quietly.

Meera shook her head.

"No."

A pause.

"You came."

Kabir's jaw tightened.

"Of course I did."

A pause.

"Do you think I would ever leave you here?"

Silence fell.

But this time… it was different.

He reached out slowly, stopping just before touching her.

Like he was afraid she might disappear.

Meera whispered,

"I was scared…"

Kabir's voice softened.

"I know."

A pause.

"But I was more scared than you."

Meera looked up at him.

"Why?"

Kabir's eyes darkened slightly.

"Because I can survive anything…"

A pause.

"…except losing you."

Outside, sirens and chaos still echoed.

But inside that broken hallway…

there was only silence.

And something deeper forming between them.

Something neither of them could deny anymore.

Meera finally asked softly,

"What am I to you, Kabir?"

He didn't answer immediately.

Because this time…

there was no strategy left.

No distance left.

No mafia left.

Only truth.

"You are the reason I stopped being careful with my own life," he said quietly.

A pause.

"And that is the most dangerous thing you could ever be."

Meera's breath trembled.

Because she finally understood.

She wasn't just in his world anymore.

She had become the one thing he would destroy his world for.

And for Kabir Rajvansh…

that was both love…

and ruin.

To be continued… 💔
