Takeru sat quietly on the beach for another few minutes.
His headache had finally started to ease.
He rubbed his forehead.
"Maybe I'm just tired."
Yuji looked at him skeptically.
"Are you sure?"
"Yeah."
Takeru stood up.
"I've been using my Six Eyes a lot lately."
He adjusted his sunglasses.
"And I wasn't wearing these for a while. Probably just Six Eyes overload or something."
One of the Gojo's nodded.
"That is possible."
Takeru stretched.
"Exactly."
He looked toward the others.
"I'm going back to Jujutsu High."
Yuji raised a hand.
"Want someone to come with you?"
"Nah. I'm good."
Takeru gave him a thumbs-up.
"I just need sleep."
He started walking away from the beach.
"See you guys later!"
After a while, Takeru arrived back at Jujutsu High.
The halls were relatively quiet.
He walked toward his dorm, opened the door, and immediately dropped onto his bed.
"Finally…"
He took off his sunglasses.
Then thought better of it.
"Nope."
He put them back on.
"Keeping these on."
Takeru pulled the blanket over himself.
The headache had almost completely disappeared now.
"Definitely the Six Eyes."
He yawned.
"Probably."
Within minutes, he was asleep.
The room was completely silent.
His breathing became slow and steady.
His sunglasses rested securely over his eyes.
But somewhere deep inside his mind…
something felt different.
Something Takeru hadn't noticed yet.
And for now, he slept.
