The mall had become complete chaos.
Security had cleared the area around Takeru while Yuji and Nobara stayed beside him.
Takeru still hadn't woken up.
His sunglasses were tucked safely into Nobara's bag.
Yuji looked at Nobara.
"We need to get him to Shoko."
Nobara nodded.
"Yeah."
Yuji carefully lifted Takeru.
Nobara moved to support his legs.
"Got him?"
"Yeah."
Together, they carried Takeru out of the mall.
The trip back to Jujutsu High was unusually quiet.
Neither of them joked.
Neither of them talked about shopping.
Yuji kept checking Takeru's face.
"Come on…"
Nobara glanced at him.
"He's breathing."
"I know."
Yuji tightened his grip slightly.
"I just want him to wake up."
Eventually, they reached Jujutsu High.
They hurried through the halls and headed straight for the medical room.
The doors opened.
Both Shoko's looked up.
"What happened?"
Yuji carefully lowered Takeru onto one of the beds.
"He fell."
Nobara added,
"Four stories."
Both Shoko's immediately moved toward him.
One checked his breathing and pulse.
The other examined his head and carefully checked for other injuries.
Shoko frowned.
"He's unconscious."
Yuji nodded.
"Can you help him?"
"We'll do everything we can."
One Shoko looked toward Takeru's face.
"Where are his glasses?"
Nobara pulled them from her bag.
"He lost them when he fell."
She carefully placed them on the nearby table.
Shoko looked back at Takeru.
"Alright."
She turned toward the equipment.
"Let's see what we're dealing with."
Yuji and Nobara stepped back.
Neither wanted to leave.
They stood beside the bed, watching as both Shoko's began treating Takeru.
Yuji quietly spoke.
"He's survived worse…"
Nobara nodded.
"Yeah."
She looked at Takeru.
"But I've never seen him get knocked out that easily."
Yuji looked down.
"He probably didn't expect to fall."
One of the Shoko's glanced over.
"Neither would I."
The room became quiet again.
Takeru remained completely unconscious.
But his breathing was steady.
And for now…
that was enough.
