Takeru sat upright in the medical bed.
Both Shoko's stood nearby.
Yuji and Nobara remained beside him.
There were several other people outside the room, waiting.
Everyone had the same problem.
Takeru had forgotten everything.
Yuji took a breath.
"Okay…"
He looked at Takeru.
"We'll explain."
Takeru nodded slowly.
"Alright."
Yuji started with the basics.
"Your name is Takeru Gojo."
Takeru nodded.
"I'm Yuji Itadori. We're friends."
Nobara pointed at herself.
"I'm Nobara Kugisaki. I'm also your friend."
Takeru nodded again.
"Okay."
Then Yuji continued.
"You're a jujutsu sorcerer."
Takeru blinked.
"A what?"
"You fight curses."
"Curses?"
"Yeah. They're basically supernatural beings created from negative emotions."
Takeru stared at him.
"…Okay."
Nobara added,
"You're also ridiculously strong."
Takeru looked at her.
"How strong?"
Yuji hesitated.
"Very."
Nobara shook her head.
"That's underselling it."
She pointed at him.
"You have the Six Eyes."
Takeru touched his sunglasses.
"These?"
"Yep."
"They're important?"
"Very."
Yuji continued.
"You also have a cursed technique called Copy."
Takeru frowned.
"Copy?"
"You can copy techniques after fighting someone for an hour."
Takeru stared at him.
"…I can do that?"
"Yeah."
Nobara crossed her arms.
"You also have a ridiculous number of other techniques because of that."
Takeru slowly raised a hand.
"How many?"
Yuji opened his mouth.
Then closed it.
"…A lot."
Takeru sighed.
"That's reassuring."
Yuji continued.
"You've fought Sukuna."
Takeru froze.
"Who's Sukuna?"
Everyone went quiet.
Yuji looked uncomfortable.
"That's…"
He glanced toward Nobara.
"…a much longer explanation."
Takeru nodded.
"Okay."
Yuji continued.
"You've been involved with the Culling Game."
"What is that?"
"Another long explanation."
"You've been to multiple colonies."
"What colonies?"
"Long explanation."
"You've met alternate versions of people."
Takeru stared.
"…Alternate versions?"
"Yeah."
"You've traveled between timelines."
Takeru slowly blinked.
"…Timelines?"
Nobara nodded.
"Yep."
Takeru looked increasingly overwhelmed.
"And apparently…"
Yuji gestured vaguely toward the hallway.
"…there are two Gojo's, two Naoya's, two Ryu's, two Uro's, two Kirara's…"
Takeru's eyes widened.
"Two Naoya's?!"
"Yeah."
"Why?"
"It's complicated."
Takeru rubbed his forehead.
"Right."
Yuji kept going.
"You've fought a god."
Takeru stared.
"A god?"
"Yeah."
"You won."
"…I won?"
"Yeah."
"And then he said he'd come back."
Takeru slowly looked at Yuji.
"…What?"
Nobara nodded.
"Pretty much."
Takeru looked down.
"This is a lot."
Yuji nodded.
"We know."
"And there's more?"
Yuji hesitated.
"…Yeah."
Takeru leaned back against the pillow.
"Can we stop for a second?"
"Of course."
Takeru stared at the ceiling.
"So…"
He slowly counted on his fingers.
"I'm Takeru Gojo."
"I'm a sorcerer."
"I fight curses."
"I have Six Eyes."
"I can copy techniques."
"I've fought someone named Sukuna."
"I've been in something called the Culling Game."
"I've traveled through timelines."
"There are multiple versions of people."
"I apparently fought a god."
He lowered his hands.
"…And I have no memory of any of it."
Yuji nodded.
"Yeah."
Takeru took a slow breath.
"That is…"
He looked at everyone.
"…a lot to wake up to."
Nobara gave him a sympathetic look.
"You don't have to remember everything today."
Takeru nodded.
"Good."
He looked at Yuji.
"Can we start with something simple?"
"Sure."
Takeru thought for a moment.
"What's my favorite food?"
Yuji smiled faintly.
"…That's actually a good place to start."
For the first time since waking up, Takeru smiled.
"See?"
He adjusted his sunglasses.
"We'll figure this out."
