The entire front line erupted into motion.
Cursed spirits poured from the ruined buildings.
Rogue sorcerers charged through the streets.
The weaker team immediately formed a defensive line.
One of the Mei Mei's swung her weapon.
"Crow!"
A flock of crows swept through the battlefield, striking several curses and forcing them backward.
The other Mei Mei immediately followed.
"Again!"
More crows descended.
Panda charged straight into a group of curses.
"PANDA EXPRESS!"
He slammed two of them into the pavement.
One Naoya zipped past him.
"Too slow!"
BOOM!
He struck a curse before it could react.
Kirara moved through the battlefield, carefully controlling the positioning of enemies and allies.
Shoko stayed behind the formation.
"Anyone injured, come back!"
Takeru's copy stood beside her.
"I'm ready!"
Shoko looked at him.
"You're basically a walking emergency room."
"That's the idea."
Then the rogue sorcerers arrived.
A man with a cursed spear charged at Maki.
She blocked.
CLANG!
The impact pushed her backward.
"You're a sorcerer."
Maki smirked.
"And you're about to have a bad day."
She twisted the spear aside.
CRACK!
One strike.
The sorcerer dropped.
Maki immediately moved to the next target.
On another street, Todo grabbed a curse by the arm.
"BOOGIE WOOGIE!"
CLAP!
The curse suddenly swapped places with a chunk of rubble.
The rubble slammed into it.
Todo grinned.
"Excellent."
Nanami walked past him.
"Try not to destroy everything."
Todo looked at the devastation around them.
"…No promises."
Nanami sighed.
Yuki launched herself into a massive curse.
BOOM!
The curse flew through three buildings.
Yuki landed.
"Next."
A second curse attacked.
She punched it straight through the pavement.
"Next."
A third appeared.
Yuki smiled.
"Now we're getting somewhere."
Maki and Mai fought back-to-back.
Mai raised her weapon.
"Takeru better appreciate this."
Maki blocked an incoming attack.
"He will."
Mai fired.
BANG!
The curse vanished.
Mai stared at her weapon.
"…Okay."
She grinned.
"The cursed-energy chips are staying."
Maki laughed.
Meanwhile, the battle was getting worse.
The curses weren't stopping.
Every time one was defeated, more appeared.
Megumi summoned shikigami into the battlefield.
"Divine Dog!"
The shikigami tore through a curse.
Megumi immediately summoned another.
"Rabbit Escape!"
Hundreds of rabbits flooded the street.
Yuji, watching from the rear, blinked.
"…That's a lot of rabbits."
Takeru nodded.
"Excellent tactical rabbits."
Yuta glanced at him.
"Is that a thing?"
"It is now."
The first defensive line began to buckle.
One Mei Mei stumbled backward.
"Too many!"
The other Mei Mei looked around.
"Fall back!"
Several fighters retreated toward the second line.
A massive curse crashed through a building.
BOOOOOOM!
The street shook.
Takeru's expression changed.
"That's our signal."
Yuji looked at him.
"Already?"
Takeru nodded.
"They're getting overwhelmed."
Yuta tightened his grip on his sword.
Both Gojo's stood up.
Takeru stepped forward.
"Alright."
He removed his sunglasses.
The Six Eyes shone brightly.
"Second wave."
Gojo smiled.
"Finally."
The other Gojo cracked his neck.
"About time."
Yuji grinned.
Yuta raised his sword.
Takeru looked toward the battlefield.
"Let's go help our family."
FWOOOM!
The five of them disappeared.
The front line suddenly heard a voice.
"MOVE!"
A massive cursed-energy blast tore through the enemy army.
BOOOOOOM!
Curses were thrown in every direction.
Yuji landed in the center of the battlefield.
"Sorry we're late!"
Yuta landed beside him.
"Everyone okay?"
Maki looked over.
"About time."
Takeru descended from above.
He landed directly on a massive curse.
CRUNCH.
He looked down.
"…Oops."
The curse disappeared beneath his foot.
Takeru looked around.
"Okay."
He smiled.
"Now we can actually start fighting."
Gojo raised his hand.
The battlefield went silent for half a second.
"Blue."
The street warped.
Dozens of curses were violently dragged together.
The other Gojo stepped forward.
"Red."
BOOM!
The combined force tore through the enemy formation.
Yuji charged.
Yuta followed.
Takeru vanished.
And suddenly...
The second wave hit the battlefield like a meteor.
For the first time, the army of Sukuna Number Four began to retreat.
Far away, atop the highest surviving building...
Sukuna Number Four watched.
His smile widened.
"So."
His eyes narrowed.
"They've finally arrived."
Behind him, hundreds of curses gathered.
He raised one hand.
"Then send the next wave."
The curses roared.
And Tokyo shook again.
