Chapter 574 - Chapter 16: Sukuna Is Dead

The light slowly faded.

The battlefield was silent.

Smoke drifted through the ruined streets.

Chunks of debris fell from the sky.

Everyone stood still, staring toward the place where Sukuna Number Four had been.

Takeru lowered his hand.

The enormous sphere was gone.

But something strange remained.

Across the ground, buildings, and even several pieces of debris were countless thin lines.

Cut marks.

Deep, perfectly straight slashes covered the area.

Yuji stared at them.

"...Why does it look like Sukuna used Shrine everywhere?"

Yuta looked around.

"Because Takeru put Shrine into the attack."

One of the Gojo's nodded.

"Right. The final attack contained all of Takeru's copied techniques."

Takeru looked at the destruction.

"Yeah."

He walked forward.

The Six Eyes scanned the battlefield.

Nothing.

No cursed energy signature.

No presence.

No movement.

Takeru stopped.

"...He's gone."

Yuji looked at him.

"Dead?"

Takeru nodded.

"Dead."

For a moment, nobody said anything.

Then Takeru looked around at the gigantic area covered in slashes.

"...I think Shrine might've gone a little overboard."

Yuji looked at him.

"YOU THINK?!"

Takeru pointed at one of the buildings.

"Look at that."

The building had been sliced into dozens of clean sections.

"...Yeah."

He pointed at another.

"And that."

"...Yeah."

Takeru scratched his head.

"Maybe I used too much."

Yuta stared at him.

"You put every technique you have into one attack."

"Yeah."

"And you're surprised it was powerful?"

"...When you say it like that, it sounds stupid."

"It was stupid."

"Fair."

Nearby, both Gojo's looked at the destruction.

One of them smiled.

"Well..."

He looked at Takeru.

"At least we don't have to fight that Sukuna again."

Takeru nodded.

"That's true."

Yuji suddenly raised his hand.

"So... does this mean we're done?"

Takeru looked around.

The remaining curses and rogue sorcerers were still scattered across the battlefield.

He blinked.

"Oh."

He pointed toward them.

"Not quite."

Yuji sighed.

"Of course."

Takeru turned toward the remaining enemy forces.

"Alright, everybody!"

His voice echoed across the battlefield.

"Sukuna's dead!"

The remaining curses froze.

Takeru smiled.

"So..."

He cracked his knuckles.

"Who wants to go home?"

Silence.

Nobody moved.

Takeru nodded.

"Yeah, that's what I thought."

And the battlefield erupted again.

Meanwhile, several meters away, the camera Takeru had left behind was lying on the ground.

Its lens was cracked.

But somehow...

It was still recording.
