Quincy Shaw didn't deny it. He got up to pour her a glass of water and placed it in front of Summer Thorne.

Summer Thorne glanced at the glass, realizing he was preparing for a long talk.

"I bear you no ill will." Sure enough, Quincy Shaw spoke a moment later. "But I don't want to see my wife unhappy. If you're the one causing her pain, then I certainly won't stand idly by."

Hearing this, Summer Thorne's gaze lingered on him for a long moment before she let out a soft laugh. "I can tell you really love Mrs. Shaw, Mr. Shaw."

Quincy Shaw, however, looked away. "She's the most important woman to me," he said.

'Seeing this, Summer Thorne knew it was just a matter of masculine pride and ego. Men his age probably always found it hard to say the word 'love' out loud.'
