After leaving the emergency room, Louis Sutton quickly followed Summer Thorne into the car.
For some reason, the atmosphere in the car was oppressive. The two of them were silent, not speaking a word the entire drive.
A few minutes later, Louis Sutton, who was in the passenger seat, suddenly seemed to recall something and slapped his thigh in frustration.
The silence in the car was finally broken. Summer Thorne turned to look at him. "What's wrong?"
Louis Sutton's expression was grim. Staring at the road ahead, he said reluctantly, "I left my jacket back there."
It was the jacket Summer Thorne had told him to take off and drape over Simon Keats. It had gone into the emergency treatment room with Simon, and Louis had completely forgotten about it when they were leaving.
Summer Thorne was silent for a moment before saying, "A jacket isn't a big deal. Just have him bring it to you at school tomorrow night."
Louis Sutton gritted his teeth, then said, "My phone's in it."
