At her words, Ivan Gray's eyes widened slightly.
"I'm sorry, I wasn't watching him closely enough... He came home to eat with my younger brother today. I... I'm so sorry."
In the end, Summer Thorne didn't offer any more explanations, just repeated apologies.
Ivan Gray quickly said, "I know what he's like, Miss Thorne. It's not your fault..."
As the two were talking, Louis Sutton walked to the door of the treatment room and glanced out. He seemed to freeze for a moment when he saw Ivan Gray speaking with Summer Thorne. Then, he turned his head, shot a look at Simon Keats lying on the hospital bed, and silently rolled his eyes.
Once Ivan Gray went into the treatment room, Louis Sutton came right out. He looked at Summer Thorne and said, "His family's here. Can we go now?"
Of course, Summer Thorne wanted to leave too, but she could only say, "Let's wait a little longer. We still don't know what condition he's in."
Louis Sutton was clearly getting antsy. He muttered, "Clown!"
