The two of them quickly polished off all the food on the table. Simon Keats rubbed his stomach, let out a burp, and looked at Summer Thorne. "Your cooking is still the best. This past week at school was torture, but after a meal like this from you, next week will be much more bearable."
As Summer Thorne cleared the plates, she listened to his smooth-talking and could only offer a resigned smile.
"You barely ate just now," Simon Keats asked. "No appetite, or are you in a bad mood?"
Summer Thorne's expression was placid as she replied, "I'll make some instant noodles for myself later."
At this, Louis Sutton shot Simon Keats a glare. But Simon, oblivious, threw his hands up and exclaimed, "I want some too! I bet your instant noodles are amazing!"
Summer Thorne was truly at a loss with him. "Just go home early after you eat," she said. "You don't want your family to worry."
