Jason Forrester felt there was nothing more to explain.
After all, considering how things had gone, this was the best possible outcome.
Any further explanation would only make things more awkward.
"Did you call and explain things clearly? We're leaving tomorrow. Don't tell me you still haven't said anything after all this time."
"Are you even listening to me? You need to tell your best friend that we're getting ready to head back tomorrow. It'll be awkward if she finds out at the last minute."
"What on earth are you doing? Did you hear me?"
'Even if we're leaving, she has to communicate properly with her best friend,' Jason thought. 'Just disappearing would be way too awkward.'
"I'm trying to figure out how to bring it up with her. Just calm down and give me a second to think about the best way to do this."
"I just feel like we haven't been here very long. If I suddenly tell her we have to leave, won't she think something's wrong or get the wrong idea?"
