Zhou Congli reviewed the branch company's situation. Once he figured out where the problem lay, he decided to bring his team over to fix it the next day.
Seeing how busy he was, Lin Zhi didn't pester him to keep her company. However, she followed him wherever he went, leading the branch employees to constantly remark, "The CEO and his wife are so in love."
"She's a bit clingy," Zhou Congli would say with a neutral expression. Yet, the moment he finished his work, he would immediately go looking for Lin Zhi without a second's delay. He was clearly enjoying it.
Once the company matters were finally settled, he took Lin Zhi out to have fun, just as he had promised. They started by hitting the malls in S City. He bought her a massive haul of jewelry, designer bags, and clothes—dubbed as his "compensation" for the past few days.
