Yara Quillan lay asleep on the bed, curled up tightly.
Sean Lowell pushed the door open and walked in. His heart ached when he saw her lying on the bed. 'Where in the world did she go with Henry Lester all this time?'
'She didn't make a single phone call. Is it because she doesn't want to marry me anymore?'
He had always known about the relationship between Yara Quillan and Henry Lester. He also knew exactly who Yara meant when she'd said there was someone in her heart.
Yara Quillan wasn't actually sound asleep. When she sensed a presence in the room, she opened her eyes and immediately saw Sean Lowell standing not far from her.
Seeing the look in his eyes, she felt an inexplicable sense of guilt.
Sean Lowell had already composed himself, his expression softening into the gentle one he reserved only for Yara Quillan. He walked over to her, not bringing up anything else, and simply asked with a smile, "You're awake? I just got a call saying you were back."
