"No. I used to cook when I was studying abroad, but I rarely have since then." The man replied calmly, continuing to stir-fry the vegetables.
"That's really impressive," Olivia praised genuinely, a hint of envy in her voice.
'She remembered her predecessor had spent years learning to cook, but…' Looking at the shredded potatoes with chili peppers Zachary had prepared, Olivia's expression dimmed.
The potatoes were shredded so finely and evenly. 'Her predecessor certainly didn't have knife skills like that.'
Zachary didn't look back, so he failed to notice the complex emotions in Olivia's eyes. After plating the last dish, he said in a low voice, "Go wash your hands. It's time to eat."
"Okay."
Olivia replied, washed her hands at the sink, and then carried the dishes out to the table.
The dishes on the dining table looked incredibly appetizing.
'They look great, but I wonder how they taste.'
