As if sensing Olivia Wynne's insincerity, Zachary Fairchild glanced back at her. "Just sit down. I can handle it."
The thought of Zachary's cooking made her mouth water. Swallowing, Olivia said with a show of restraint, "Alright then. Thank you. Just let me know if you need any help."
With that, Olivia turned and went into the living room.
'Zachary will call me if he needs anything. I'll just wait here in the living room.'
Time flew by, and before she knew it, dinner was ready. The spread of four dishes and a soup consisted entirely of Olivia's favorite foods.
Olivia's eyes lit up at the sight of the dishes on the table. She dashed to the kitchen to grab bowls and chopsticks, then handed a pair to Zachary. "Come on, let's eat. It won't be as good if it gets cold."
"Mm-hm." Zachary accepted the chopsticks, not bothering to remind Olivia that it was summer—the hottest time of the year.
After dinner, Olivia leaned back in her chair, completely satisfied.
