After they left The Silkwood Estate, Olivia Wynne was still thinking about Jasper Shaw and his wife. Recalling the events in the private room, Olivia looked at Zachary Fairchild with confusion.
"Zachary Fairchild, do you think Jasper Shaw really wants you to save his family?"
No matter how she thought about it, she felt that Jasper Shaw had no real intention of saving anyone. Leaving aside his own true feelings, just based on his wife's attitude, she probably didn't agree to him asking for help. And seeing how nervous he was around his wife, he was unlikely to go against Mrs. Shaw's wishes.
Zachary Fairchild had someone investigate the Shaw Family's affairs, so he knew a few things. Hearing Olivia's question now, and considering the family's situation, Zachary also understood that Jasper Shaw wasn't sincere about saving anyone.
"He isn't."
"The person who was detained is his nephew. I heard Mrs. Shaw doesn't get along with her sister-in-law."
