"Done with the act?" Zachary Fairchild propped his left hand on the car door, leaning in slightly, his sharp eyes fixed unblinkingly on Olivia Wynne.
Stared at by those eyes that seemed to see right through a person, Olivia suddenly felt a pang of guilt. She turned her head, avoiding Zachary's gaze.
"The act wasn't for you."
"I know." 'That's exactly why he'd held back his anger when he saw another man holding her up.'
"Then why do it?" Zachary asked in a low voice, looking down at Olivia.
"Uh, it's getting late. Let's just go home. We can talk about it there." 'I'd wanted to see what Isaac Archer was planning, but it looks like that's not happening now. Might as well just head home.'
'Besides, this wasn't a good place to discuss what Zachary was asking. Better to tell him after they got home.'
"Fine. We'll talk at home." After staring at Olivia for a couple of seconds, Zachary turned and walked over to the driver's side.
