"Did you not think it through, or did you not think about it at all?" Zachary Fairchild let go of Olivia Wynne's hand and took a step back, his voice dropping low and slow.
"Is it because you don't care that you didn't think about it? Is that it?"
Olivia Wynne was stunned. It was the first time she'd seen Zachary Fairchild say so much, and the first time she'd seen him so emotional.
What's more, his words struck a chord deep inside her.
'Do I not care? No, that's not it.'
Zachary Fairchild waited for a moment, but when Olivia Wynne didn't answer, he straightened up, turned, and strode toward his room.
Olivia Wynne remained rooted to the spot, her mind still mulling over what Zachary Fairchild had just said.
The truth was, she did care. She would think of Zachary Fairchild while eating, and he would pop into her head from time to time at work.
It seemed that without her even realizing it, Zachary Fairchild had already found a place in her heart.
