"I had a meeting nearby, figured I'd swing past on the way back in case I got lucky." He glanced briefly at Min-woo, polite, before returning his attention fully to Jae-min. "You never texted."
"I've been busy."
"I figured." Seo-jun's smile didn't falter, easy and unbothered. "You want a ride? I promise I'm safer to be around than I probably look, showing up unannounced like this."
Jae-min hesitated, glancing sideways at Min-woo, who gave the smallest, most deliberate shrug—your call, entirely unreadable to anyone but Jae-min himself.
"Sure," Jae-min said finally, already moving toward the car. "Just for a bit."
Min-woo settled into the back seat as the car pulled away from the curb, Jae-min's silhouette close beside Seo-jun's in the front, and something about the whole picture sat wrong enough in his chest that he didn't give his own address when the driver asked.
