Juna crouched atop the municipal archive roof, holding her completed solar circuit steady while the last district reports came in.

Her four silver wings remained tightly furled against her spine, holding the immense solar tension of the completed circuit.

Every muscle in her thighs thrummed with stored light, waiting for the final step that would close the loop.

"Southern quadrant is confirmed clear," Eirwen reported through the tactical channel, her calm voice cutting through the static.

"What about the lower approach near the aqueduct?" she asked, keeping her eyes fixed on the street below.

"Loccy is still guiding the remaining six clerks through the cellar arch," Eirwen answered without hesitation.

"I see her," Juna replied, peering down through the morning mist at the massive silhouette in the courtyard.

Ferra lowered the temporary brace lines millimeter by millimeter, ensuring the masonry did not slip into the evacuation trench.
