Chapter 411 - The Daybreak Path

Executioners converged on Juna's roof route before she could carry her completed map of civilian escape corridors across the city.

The next roof carried civilians beneath it, forcing her to choose a path that kept the pursuit overhead.

Juna sprinted along the narrow ceramic crest of an administrative roof, keeping her silver wings tightly drawn against her back.

Wind whipped across her face, carrying the bitter scent of ozone and burning ward ink from the western military district.

"Executioners converging on your quadrant," Aria announced through the squad channel, her mechanical voice perfectly steady.

"Count is four... closing rapidly from the third pylon spire," the artificial spirit added without hesitation.

"I see them," she replied, leaping across a four-pace gap between two townhouses.

"Are the civilian shelters on the tenth street sealed?" she asked, dropping her shoulder as she landed on the opposite tiles.
