Jude looked at her quietly
"I know she doesn't like you", he said
"And you also know that she had always hated me, right?"
"I don't think that's true"
"Well, it is", Violet said
"It isn't true"
Violet shook her head
"She came into this family and destroyed everything"
Jude's expression changed slightly
"That's enough"
Violet looked at him
"Why are you defending her all of a sudden?", she snapped
"I am not defending her but we are talking about something serious", Jude said
"But I am your sister and you aren't defending me"
"I know you are my sister"
"Then believe me when I say things", Violet said
Jude didn't answer and that silence hurt her more than an accusation would have
"You don't believe me, Jude", she added
"I really don't know what to believe"
Violet looked at him for a long moment before she picked up her phone
"You don't know what to believe after everything I have done for you?", she said
Jude's expression hardened instantly
